Natsu breaks away from the circle as they try to lock hands. The Cinderella Tournament is now in its sixth year. In addition to the usual pro wrestling rules, the matches will also feature an "over the top rope" rule, where the wrestler who falls out of the ring from the top rope is disqualified. As Momo falls onto the apron, Kid delivers a series of elbows. Momo delivered a high kick from the apron and a Soumatou from the corner. Kid countered and rolled her up for a two count. Momo went for a B-Driver but Kid rolled her up again. After an exchange of roll-ups, Kid delivered a Kicchan Bomb, but Momo crushed it. Momo went for another B-Driver. Jungle Kyona and Giulia faced each other for the first time at Korakuen Hall on March 8th, albeit as a tag team. After the match, Kyona requested a one-on-one match in the near future, and that match is now set to happen in this tournament. Kyona, whose challenge for the red belt has been postponed due to the consecutive cancellations of the Nagoya tournament, has directed her anger towards Giulia. Of course, Giulia is ready to accept the challenge. Giulia currently holds the Artist of Stardom Championship as Donna del Mondo, but this tournament will also test her true worth as a singles wrestler. Since joining Stardom, Giulia has yet to suffer a loss in a singles match. Will she continue her winning streak and go on to win the tournament, or will Kyona stop her in one blow? As Kyoka charges, Giulia lands a big boot and jumps into a modified Manji-gatame (figure-four hold). Kyoka gets up and escapes to the ropes. Giulia lands a big boot followed by a missile kick. Kyoka kicks out, and Giulia grabs her hair and delivers a flurry of elbows. Giulia charges, and Kyoka counters with an elbow. Five minutes have passed. If Iwatani wins, she will become an unshakeable champion, and if Hana defeats Iwatani and wins, she will undoubtedly become the next challenger for the red belt. Therefore, this match is effectively the championship decider. We can only hope that neither of them gets disqualified

Iwatani's comment

"I was injured last year and couldn't participate in the Cinderella Tournament, so I was aiming to win this tournament for the first time in a while, wear a dress, and win for the third time, but I never expected to be put in a Manji-gatame (figure-four leglock) on the top turnbuckle. I didn't know that was a move. I was a little surprised. If that happened to me, I wouldn't be able to withstand it. I don't know how much Hana Kimura weighs, but her whole weight was on me, and then she locked my arm. Before I knew it, I was down. I thought, 'Oh no, I'm going to fall,' and then I landed. It really happened in an instant, that's what it means to fall so suddenly. "That's right. Well, recently I've come to realize that Mayu Iwatani has a lot of good points, even though I used to make fun of her by calling her a bean sprout. But in the match, I was determined to take everything regardless of that, so I think that's what came through."

"Well, I think it's partly because I teamed up with Giulia at Tokyo Dome, but we just didn't click, and she ended up taking all the good parts. I wanted to take things slowly too. I needed time. It's frustrating."

—Last time you said that it would only be painful if you didn't do it in front of an audience, but how was it today?

"I felt like today was completely different."

--At the press conference you said you were going to take everything from Mayu Iwatani. Did you think you could do that in this match?

"No, I didn't think that. At the press conference, I said it was the first step in my grand plan to take everything from Mayu Iwatani, but I wanted to use it as a stepping stone, so my goal or plan was to win and then nominate Mayu Iwatani."

—So you weren't planning to do it all in one go, but rather gradually, step by step?

"Well, yeah. This guy hasn't been doing this for nine years for nothing, so I don't think I can take it from him in one go. I'm pretty realistic (laughs)."

—How well did you execute your strategy in today's match?

"This time, I think I almost got hit with a running three, and that was the first time that had ever happened to me, so I was able to see a lot of things that I hadn't seen before."

—Why did you start to envy Iwatani?

"It's not so much that pro wrestling itself was the catalyst for my positive change, but rather other aspects of my life. It's like the color of my filter changed, or rather, the world I see has changed compared to before. Shuri puts her in a headlock, but Konami gets back in and puts her in a headlock too. After an exchange of kicks, Shuri lands a counter middle kick. After an exchange of low kicks, Konami lands a counter middle kick and a sliding kick. Konami goes for a brainbuster, but Shuri resists and goes for an armbar. Giulia charged at Shuri on the apron. As they both stepped onto the apron, Giulia got in position for a Glorious Buster. Shuri countered and got behind her. Giulia grabbed the ropes to hold on. Giulia hit a headbutt and a big boot. Shuri fell, and Giulia advanced to the finals

—This was your first appearance in the Cinderella Tournament, and it also marked the first time you faced a fellow Donna del Mondo wrestler

"Yes. I made it to the semi-finals, and I really wanted to win this Cinderella Tournament and make a name for myself, but ah, it's frustrating! "Yes, from the very beginning (when I faced Hater), I thought, 'Seriously?!'He's an incredibly strong fighter. But, precisely because he's such a powerful fighter, I had my own weapons—joint locks and kicks—so I planned to make full use of them."

—Did you participate in this tournament as an individual, or as part of the Donna del Mondo unit?

"I approached today's performance as an individual. I want to shine both as Shuri and as part of Donna del Mondo, and as Shuri, as an individual, so I approached today's performance as a single individual."

—Was this a fight with the singles title in mind?

"Yes, I do feel that way. Of course, I want to do well as a team with Donna del Mondo, and I also want to do well as Shuri."

Giulia kicked out and Natsuko did a frog splash. She pulled Giulia up and slammed her down with a body slam, then declared the finish and dropped a diving guillotine. It looked like it was over, but Giulia's shoulders rose. 10 minutes had passed. The crowd was chanting for Giulia. Natsuko kicked Giulia in the face, and Giulia responded with a series of slaps and headbutts. Giulia did a Michinoku Driver followed by a Glorious Driver. However, Natsuko kicked out and it was only a two count. Giulia tried to pin Natsuko, but Natsuko rolled her up. Giulia kicked out and did a big boot followed by a Stealth Viper. She reversed it and tightened the hold, and Natsuko finally gave up. Giulia won the 2020 Cinderella Tournament .
