The previous day, Natsupoi successfully defended her Artist of Stardom Championship in a time-limit draw and also advanced to the semifinals of the Cinderella Tournament. She will be looking to secure a decisive victory against Iida to win her first championship, but how will she respond to Iida's power fighting style?

They waited for the bell without shaking hands. As the match began, they locked up and tested their strength. When Iida tried to push forward, Natsupoi broke free and raised her hand to invite him in. When Iida tried to respond, Natsupoi stretched up and stomped on the back of her knee. The Donna del Mondo team of Giulia, Maika, Himeka, and Mai Sakurai will face off against the Oedo Tai team of Saki Kashima, Momo Watanabe, Starlight Kid, and Ruanka in an eight-woman tag team match. At the Kobe event the previous day, the MaiHimepoi team of Maika, Himeka, and Natsupoi successfully defended their title for the seventh time, though it ended in a draw against the former champions Tam Nakano, Mina Shirakawa, and Sayaka Unagi. With the record for most title defenses about to be broken, the Oedo Tai team of Kashima, Momo, and Kid challenged them. This makes this a preliminary match for both Maika & Himeka and Kashima, Momo, and Kid, leading up to their Artist of the Year title match. The focus will be on what kind of tactics will unfold in this match. Which unit will take the lead towards the title match?

Kashima was the first to go for Oedo Tai, and Sakurai volunteered. Kashima held out her hand and said, "Please." Sakurai pretended to accept, then attempted a small package and a series of roll-ups, but Oedo Tai broke them up. Oedo Tai isolated Sakurai and focused their attack on her.
