They locked up and grappled, testing their strength. Seira tightened her grip on Tensaki's arm, but Tensaki fought back, resulting in a struggle for control of the arm. Tensaki went for a headlock, but Seira countered with a head scissors. Tensaki escaped and went for a headlock again, but Seira countered again. Tensaki threw Seira into the ropes, but Seira dodged and delivered a dropkick. Seira tied Tensaki's hair together and slammed her onto the mat. She cornered Tensaki and stomped on her face, putting pressure on her. Seira announced she was going to do a body slam, but Tensaki kicked out and Seira applied a sleeper hold. Tensaki escaped, and Seira announced she was going to finish the match and charged forward. However, Tensaki hit a dropkick followed by a DDT. Seira kicked out and Tensaki hit an elbow, Seira hit a lariat and a neckbreaker. Tensaki resisted Seira's attempt at a brainbuster and they exchanged elbows. Seira rolled Tensaki up and hit a dropkick. Tensaki dodged and rolled her up. Seira kicked out and Tensaki jumped on her and hit a DDT. When Seira countered, Tensaki shouted, "I'm going to finish this!" and assumed the Tensei stance. Seira tried to counter again, but Tensaki reversed and rolled her up. Seira countered again, and they exchanged roll-up attempts. Seira went for the Shooting Star, but Tensaki couldn't counter and the referee counted to three

Sakurai responded, "Is that all you've got?!" and knocked her down in one hit. Kurei dodged Sakurai and performed a swan dive arm whip from the apron. She also landed a dropkick, but it was only a two count. Kurei shouted, "I'm gonna lift you up!" and prepared for a body slam. However, Sakurai reversed it and threw her instead. When Kurei countered, Sakurai went for an STF. Sakurai delivered a big boot to the escaping Kurei. When Kurei retaliated, Sakurai declared she was going for the finish, but Kurei countered the Shining Buster with a spear. Sakurai retaliated again, and Kurei landed a series of elbows. Sakurai countered with a big boot and a standing guillotine. It looked like it was over, but Kurei's shoulder rose. Sakurai declared she was going for the finish again and charged forward. Without waiting for the bell, Oedo Tai attacked, throwing Mizumori out of the ring and then double-teaming Anno. Anno dodged and threw Momo out of the ring on the apron. Anno delivered a big boot to Kid and tagged in Mizumori. Mizumori dove towards Kid but was dodged and hit with a dropkick. Oedo Tai double-teamed Mizumori with a knee crusher, and Kid drove Mizumori into the ropes and delivered a series of stomps. Momo attacked Mizumori's right leg, and Kid joined in. Momo pushed Anno, who was waiting on the sidelines, out of the ring. Momo got back up after taking a series of elbows from Mizumori. Momo charged after a middle kick, but Mizumori dodged and delivered a dropkick. Anno slapped Momo and kicked her, then went for Kid, who was waiting on the sidelines. Anno put Momo in an Indian deathlock. She then hit the interfering Kid with a fisherman suplex. Momo delivered a series of middle kicks to Anno. Kid delivered a diving body attack to Anno and attempted a standing moonsault. Anno dodges and delivers a dropkick. Kid lands an elbow attack, then another standing moonsault press. After a series of fisherman suplexes, Anno hits a neckbreaker, a fisherman buster, a modified sickle hold, and a modified camel clutch. However, Momo interferes. Anno hits Kid with a fisherman suplex. Both are down outside the ring, and Anno passes the ball to Mizumori. Mizumori hits Kid with a shoulder tackle and a diving shoulder tackle. Kid retaliates, and Mizumori puts him in a headlock. Kid counters with a stretch muffler. Mizumori escapes but takes a body attack and a dropkick from Kid. Kid climbs to the corner, but Anno interferes and hits him with a superplex, and Mizumori hits a Supergirl. Kid retaliates, and Mizumori hits him with a lariat from close range. Momo hits Mizumori with a high kick, and the Oedo Tai team hit him with a double Soumatou. Kid pulls Mizumori up and hits him with a series of fisherman suplexes. Mizumori retaliated, and Kid went for a Star Suplex. Mizumori countered with a shoulder throw. Kid countered with a dropkick to the knee and a stretch muffler. He transitioned into a Black Tiger Leg Kill, but Anno broke it up. Kid dropped a dropkick on Anno. He teamed up with Momo and slammed her to the mat. Natsuko tried to break it up, but Suzuki sent her out of the ring. Giulia attacked Ruika's arm, and Suzuki delivered a running elbow attack and a running knee attack. Ruika landed a series of elbows, and Suzuki retaliated, but Ruika hit her with a complete shot. When Natsuko entered the ring, Suzuki and Giulia teamed up, but Natsuko hit them both with a cross body and a senton. Suzuki hit Natsuko with a soccer ball kick and then delivered a dropkick to Natsuko on the apron from outside the ring. Natsuko kicked out and hit Suzuki with an elbow smash and a backflip. Suzuki dodged a lariat and delivered a German suplex. Giulia and Ruanka enter the ring and exchange moves. Ruanka delivers a shoulder tackle followed by a senton. Giulia kicks out and applies a face lock. Ruanka escapes, but Giulia charges forward, and Natsuko and Ruanka deliver lariats. Oedo Tai deliver shoulder tackles and corner attacks to Giulia and Suzuki. Ruanka hits Giulia with a fisherman suplex with a long hang time, a face lock, and a powerbomb. Ruanka declares she's going for the finish and heads to the corner. Suzuki breaks up the pin and delivers a superplex Frankensteiner, followed by a back drop from Giulia. However, Natsuko makes an emergency break. Ruanka hits Giulia with a lariat, and Giulia and Suzuki team up for a back drop and a knee attack. Ruanka kicks out and Giulia delivers a Bianca. STARS, consisting of Mayu Iwatani, Hazuki, Hanan, Saya Iida, and Yumizuki, will face off against GODD'S EIGHT, consisting of Shuri, MIRAI, Sorei Ami, Saki Kashima, and Ranna Yagami, in a 10-person tag team match. The key players will likely be Yumizuki and Yagami, who have both joined the unit. Yumizuki was one of the first rookies to join the unit after debuting last year, while Yagami directly requested to join GODD'S EIGHT at Takadanobaba on January 20th.This will be Yagami's first match as a member of GODD'S EIGHT, and the rivalry between her and Yumizuki, who won the Rookie of the Year title, will be a highlight. Additionally, this will be a rematch between the reigning Artist of the Year champions, Shuri, MIRAI, and Sorei, and Iwatani, Hazuki, and Hanan, and Hanan's approach, especially as she is conscious of Sorei, will be one to watch.
Hanan and Sorei started the match, with Hanan delivering a dropkick and Sorei responding with a shoulder tackle. Sorei cornered Hanan and unleashed a barrage of chops. Hanan was thrown into the corner but reversed and delivered a body attack. STARS teamed up and attacked Sorei in a coordinated attack. After a five-person dropkick, Yuzuki delivered a dropkick to Sorei. Sorei countered a body slam attempt and threw Yuzuki. Kashima cornered Yuzuki and delivered an elbow. Kashima tagged in Shuri and delivered a series of stomps. Shuri slammed Yuzuki into the corner, Yagami delivered a running elbow and a dropkick, and Shuri applied a sleeper hold. When Yuzuki escaped, she grabbed Shuri's arm and delivered a triangle jump face crusher and a dropkick. Hazuki delivered a dropkick and a face lock to Shuri. Kashima tried to break it up, but Hazuki senton both Kashima and Yagami at once. MIRAI and Sorei team up, but Iwatani jumps over Hazuki and delivers a dropkick, and STARS delivers a face wash. Shuri dodges Hazuki's senton but gets hit with a Codebreaker. Iida delivers a shoulder tackle to Shuri, and Shuri delivers a dropkick from close range. Shuri and MIRAI work together to attack Iida and Iwatani. Iida is hit with a double dropkick and exchanges chops with MIRAI. MIRAI stands up and applies a headlock. They clash shoulders and MIRAI attempts a lariat, but Iida withstands it and lands a lariat of her own. MIRAI also withstands it and both go down. The two rookies enter the ring to tag, and Yumizuki and Yagami exchange elbows and middle kicks. Yagami comes out on top but Yumizuki hits a hurricanrana. With assistance from Hazuki and Iwatani, Yumizuki and Hanan and Iida exchange dropkicks. God's Eye attacks Yumizuki one after another, and Yagami holds her down. STARS sends God's Eye out of the ring with a dropkick, and Hanan jumps with a plancha.10minutes have passed. Yumizuki throws Yagami a series of hip throws. Yagami retaliates, and STARS delivers a combined face crusher, but Kashima makes the break. Yumizuki attempts a triangle jump face crusher on Yagami. Yagami blocks it, and God's Eye launches a series of attacks. Yagami attempts a PK followed by an armbar, but Hazuki breaks it up. Yagami goes for the cover, but Yumizuki kicks out. Yumizuki dodges Yagami's high kick, Iwatani delivers a thrust kick, and Yumizuki rolls her up for the three count.

The match began with both wrestlers feeling each other out before getting into a hand-to-hand grapple. Maika immediately went for Kamitani's arm, and Kamitani fought back. Kamitani applied a headlock and took the match to the ground, but Maika quickly broke free. After a stare-down, AZM tagged in Tsukiyama. AZM dodged Tsukiyama's dropkick and delivered a PK. Tsukiyama dodged AZM and delivered a dropkick. QQ attacked Tsukiyama in a coordinated attack. AZM stomped on Tsukiyama with both feet and covered her. Kamitani and AZM delivered dropkicks to Tsukiyama, and Kamitani followed with a foot stomp. Lady gave Tsukiyama a10-rotation giant swing. She followed with a corner big boot and a knee drop. Utami delivered a series of body slams to Tsukiyama. Tsukiyama retaliated with a series of elbows, but Utami stood firm. Tsukiyama went down from Utami's elbow, but countered with a cross body. HANAKO delivered a series of shoulder tackles to Utami, and when Utami stood up to receive them, HANAKO commanded, "You go!" However, AZM interfered, and Lady and Kamitani teamed up. HANAKO then separated them and delivered a body slam to Utami. Shirakawa and HANAKO teamed up and attacked Utami with a corner thrust. Shirakawa delivered a hurricanrana-style Kawazu Otoshi to Utami. Utami retaliated with a dropkick to Shirakawa. Shirakawa landed an elbow, but Utami fought back. Shirakawa delivered a rolling elbow, and Utami delivered a German suplex. Shirakawa landed a high kick, and both were down. Maika and Kamitani entered the ring and exchanged elbows. Kamitani landed a series of elbows, and Maika went down. Maika got up and elbowed the standing Kamitani. When Kamitani went down, Maika pulled her up and charged at her. Kamitani dodged and delivered a knee kick. As Maika climbed onto the corner, Shirakawa interfered, and Maika delivered a superplex, immediately followed by an armbar. However, QQ all intervened to break it up. Kamitani countered Maika's attempt at a Flame Drop, and Lady, AZM, and Utami worked together. Kamitani landed a whirlwind kick, but it was broken up.Tenminutes had passed. Kamitani pulled Maika up and took her back. Maika countered with a lariat. Kamitani got up and delivered a double kick. Both were down. Lady dropped Shirakawa, who was trying to tag, and hit Maika with a big boot and a series of chops. Maika dodged Lady's charge, but Lady dodged it too and delivered a neckbreaker. Maika countered, and Lady delivered a giant backbreaker. Then HANAKO intervened. Utami and Kamitani delivered a dropkick to HANAKO. AZM and Lady teamed up, but Shirakawa broke it up. Maika and Shirakawa teamed up and slammed Lady to the mat. Maika went for the cover, but Lady kicked out. Maika pulled Lady up and got into position for her Enka Otoshi. Lady countered with a chokeslam. In the ensuing scramble, HANAKO sent Utami out of the ring with a big boot. Maika hit Lady with a series of lariats. Lady retaliated, and Maika hit her with the Enka Otoshi. The referee counted to three, and Maika pinned Lady.
Maika: "Kamitani, it looks like it's not broken yet. We have another preliminary match tomorrow, and I'm going to break that arm of yours again by February 4th, so be prepared. Okay, so we've officially started our unit, and we've decided on a unit name!"
Shirakawa: "Do you want to hear it? Do you want to hear it? Do you want to hear it?"
Maika: "Our new unit is E neXus V... Was my pronunciation bad? I think it's correct. E neXus V"
