[A first in the history of the Pro Wrestling Grand Prix!] Saya Kamitani becomes the first woman to win the "MVP" award at the Tokyo Sports Pro Wrestling Grand Prix! [The first female to win MVP!]

On December 16th, 2025, the Tokyo Sports Newspaper Company announced the 2025 "Pro Wrestling Awards supported by Nitan Clinic." Saya Kamitani of HATE won the "Most Valuable Player Award (MVP)" from Stardom, becoming the first female wrestler to receive the award!

Saya Kamitani also won the Women's Professional Wrestling Grand Prize at the same awards

The award winning comments are as follows:

Most Valuable Player Award "MVP" Saya Kamitani (HATE)

Well, that's only natural, considering it's Saya-sama!
Starting with winning the World of Stardom Championship at Ryogoku Kokugikan at the end of last year, she had a loser's retirement match at Yokohama Arena in April, and in September, the first women's professional wrestling event in 23 years was broadcast live on terrestrial television. Saya-sama's goal for this year was to "let people who haven't seen it yet get to know women's professional wrestling," so she has appeared in various media outlets, creating excitement both inside and outside the ring. I think she has completely changed the image of women's professional wrestling from its heyday.

For the past year, I've been thinking about nothing but pro wrestling every day, and honestly, it's been driving me crazy.
But now that it's taking shape like this, I'm so glad that I never ran away no matter what happened, and that I continued to face myself to the fullest, and I'm so happy from the bottom of my heart!

Saya-sama isn't satisfied with where she is now, and she still has ambitions. She wants to show you a view you've never seen before, and she'll take professional wrestling to even greater heights by elevating it to a more mainstream scene, so keep your eyes on her!

Taro Okada, CEO of Stardom Co., Ltd

that Saya Kamitani, a member of our company Stardom,
has simultaneously received the Most Valuable Player Award (Pro Wrestling Grand Prix MVP) and the Women's Pro Wrestling Grand Prix at the 2025 Tokyo Sports Pro Wrestling Grand Prix supported by Nitan Clinic.

This is the first such achievement in the Pro Wrestling Awards' history, which spans over half a century, and we as an organization are extremely pleased to welcome it

Putting aside her "misdeeds" both inside and outside the ring, in 2025 she led Stardom, continuing to run as the face of women's professional wrestling and a frontrunner in the entire professional wrestling world. I believe that
her presence and struggles have touched the hearts of not only professional wrestling fans and industry insiders, but also many people who have never been exposed to professional wrestling before.

Saya Kamitani will continue to be an indispensable presence in the development of Stardom and professional wrestling, and one to keep an eye on.
The fight is still on, but for now, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported Saya Kamitani and Stardom this year.

We hope to receive your continued support for the Ryogoku tournament and towards 2026
