On June 6th in London, England, at "Pro Wrestling EVE," Sareee defended her IWGP Women's Championship against Alex Windsor, who was challenging Syuri for the title at the time, and won the match in the ROH ring in the United States

Following these results, the IWGP Executive Committee has decided to hold the next IWGP Women's Championship match at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Ryogoku Kokugikan event, "KING OF PRO-WRESTLING 2025," on October 13th (Monday, national holiday). This match has been urgently added to the card
The challenger to the reigning champion Sareee is the former champion, Shuri!
Shuri, who made her return at the Korakuen Hall event on September 27th (Saturday), declared once again that she would "win the IWGP title" against Sareee. She told Sareee, "I'm going to take that belt back for you, so just wait!" To which Sareee responded, "If you're serious about this belt, and if you're going to try to take it back again, I'll take you on anytime! And I'll teach you the truth."
Following that, Sareee won her IWGP Women's Championship defense against Alex Windsor in the ROH ring in the United States, and a rematch for the IWGP Women's Championship between Sareee and Shuri has been officially scheduled for a major New Japan Pro-Wrestling event at Ryogoku Kokugikan in the fall, the birthplace of the IWGP!
