The unit God's Eye held their first event, "God's Eye Festa 2026," on Saturday, May 9th at SYD Hall in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. All members participated: Akari, Sorei Ami, Hinami, Lady C, Inaba Tomoka, Yagami Ranna, and Toraryu Kiyoka. The event's content was devised by the members, and Hinami served as the MC
In the first round, "Work Together and Guess What's in the Box!", five of them correctly answered "paprika," but Akari answered "bell pepper" and Tomoka answered "pumpkin," both of whom were wrong. For the second question, "horse head (mask)," the moment Lady put her hand into the box, she reacted like a professional comedian, exclaiming, "Ahh! It's really moving... It has hair and looks ferocious!"
As for Akari, she was screaming and barely able to touch the contents of the box, tears welling up in her eyes. Finally, with the third question, "scrubbing brush," everyone got the answer right
After that, the audience joined in the fun with games like "Illustration Telephone Game" and "Telepathy Gesture Game."
During the Q&A session with fans, when asked "What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?", Shuri confessed to a shocking experience during her US tour last year. I won't go into details here, but apparently, after playing three matches in one day, she caused a "foul odor incident" around 1:30 a.m. Shuri's face turned bright red as she recounted the story in detail, which was quite memorable
There was also a question asking, "If you could be any other member of God's Eye, who would you want to be?" Hinami was the most popular choice among the members, with one saying, "I want to be incredibly popular on campus" (Sōrei). Hinami herself has recently been described as having a "married woman vibe"..
In the final segment, "Quiz God's Eye," the seven members worked together to tackle a multiple-choice quiz about their unit. The rule was that if they didn't answer all the questions correctly, the farewell event would be canceled. However, a mishap occurred with the question, "Which member has the most Instagram posts?" Toraryu emphasized that he and the other members had been using the same Instagram account since their student days, so the members answered with confidence. However, the answer was "Shuri."
Then it's as if "that never happened"... God's Eye follows the rules in the ring, but here it's a lawless zone
At the end of the event, which was a huge success from start to finish, Shuri said, "God's Eye is entering its fifth year, and everyone will be aiming for the belts, so please support us." The farewell event was also held without incident, bringing the event to a successful close
At the Yokohama Arena event on April 26th, Saki Kashima retired from active competition. The group is now down to seven members, but they are moving forward to become the center of the Stardom ring. Syuri, the leader, reigns as the IWGP Women's Champion, while Yagami holds the Future of Stardom Championship. At the Inazawa event in Aichi on May 23rd (Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium Entrio), she will face Kian Furusawa in her fourth title defense
It's not just the two titleholders. During the recent Golden Week tour, Sorei also took action. At the Korakuen Hall event on May 17th, she declared war on STARS' Hanan, Iida Saya, and Kogo Momo, who will be challenging for the Artist of Stardom Championship (currently held by Konami, Rina, and Fukigen★), saying, "God's Eye is also after that Artist's belt." Furthermore, she warned Hanan, the Wonder Champion who is scheduled to defend her title for the first time against Bea Priestley on May 23rd in Inazawa, "We're both going to challenge for that white belt as well." It seems she will continue to attract attention in the future
