NEO GENESIS has a new member! At "STARDOM in SENDAI 2026 Jun." held at Sendai PIT in Miyagi on Saturday, June 6th, NEO GENESIS's Mitsuyoshi Amasaki faced Emma Nashijima in a singles match
Hashima had previously received invitations to join NeoGen, but had kept his answer pending. After returning from an absence due to illness at the 5/31 Kyoto event, he received a message from Amasaki saying, "I want to know what kind of decision you make when it's okay to make as many mistakes as you want," which led to Hashima requesting this one-on-one match
The match began with a deliberate exchange of wrestling moves, but it intensified as time went on. Shima bravely threw elbows, but was sent flying by a heavy blow. She managed to create some exciting moments with four consecutive dropkicks, a reverse figure-four leglock, and two sling blades, but she couldn't break through Tensaki's defenses
In the end, he was pinned for the three count by a Blizzard Suplex Hold
After the match, Amasaki sent a message saying, "Emma, you won the Rookie of the Year award all by yourself, you're a promising newcomer. I could feel your spirit. The road ahead for you is still long and endless. But I heard from someone that an infinite future awaits you at the end of that path. I have no intention of turning Emma into a doll or a bird in a cage. Walk the path you believe in."
Then, Shimajima stopped Amasaki, who was about to leave, and revealed her true feelings, saying, "It's true that I was afraid of change, afraid of changing myself, and I remained unable to move for a long time. But now that I've teamed up with someone from NEO GENESIS and been able to fight against Amasaki, who has become stronger without fear of change, I want to grow together with her in NEO GENESIS."
Amasaki said, "I was surprised, because I thought we would go our separate ways," but added, "I'm really happy to hear Emma's true feelings," showing her welcoming attitude
Furthermore, when AZM asked him, "You're amazing, so pull yourself together. Will you join NEO GENESIS?", Mashima bowed his head and replied, "Please let me join!"
Kid advised, "Thank you for choosing me. But Emma still has a long way to go today. You must be frustrated, right? Get stronger by facing more challenges. You should do more singles matches with the NeoGen members." He then suggested, "I think we should check with all the members," suggesting that they also check with Seira Mei, who is currently absent due to injury treatment, to see what she wants
President Taro Okada, sitting at headquarters, called Seira, and the call was connected to the microphone in the venue via speaker
Seira was overjoyed, saying, "So Emma's joining, right? Welcome to NEO GENESIS. This is awesome. Let's make it a success together." She also announced that she would be returning at the Korakuen Hall event on June 14th, and then hung up the phone saying, "Mei is back. That's all from me."
Neo Genesis started in July 2024 with five members: Suzu Suzuki, Seira, Kid, AZM, and Amasaki. However, Suzuki left the group in May of the following year. The group continued as a four-member unit, but a reliable new member has joined them. Kid declared, "I want to make June 14th NEO GENESIS Day."
Furthermore, after the second match, Goddess of Stardom champion AZM (with partner Amasaki) said, "Kogu-tan and Hazuki-chan, sorry to keep you waiting. I'd like to request a Goddess title match," proposing a title match against FWC (Hazuki & Koguma) at the June 14 Korakuen Hall event
The match was originally scheduled to be held in Aichi on May 23rd, but was postponed because Tensaki was unwell and had to withdraw. Koguma responded, "Of course, we'll be waiting wherever and whenever you are, and I think Mitsuyoshi is feeling better now."
