In a six-person tag team match titled "Kanaya Anne's Final Audition," Kanaya teamed with Sakura Aya and Kurei Sayaka to face Natsupoi, Anno Saori, and Mizumori Yuna. She had hoped to join Kozuen during Golden Week and had previously passed Sakura and Kurei's "Sakura Audition." This day marked the final audition by the Kozuen ladies
However, the judging process was brutal. Natsupoi grabbed her hair and threw her, then she was subjected to a coordinated attack by Natsupoi and Anno. Furthermore, Mizumori mercilessly slapped Kanaya, who was already in a groggy state
Despite this setback, Kanaya delivered a dropkick to Natsupoi, and in an elbow exchange, she refused to back down, trading blows with Natsupoi. Despite a valiant effort, she was ultimately defeated by Natsupoi in the Fairial Ring at 18 minutes and 43 seconds
After the match, Sakura and Kurei comforted Kanaya, who hung his head in despair. They looked just like a team that had lost in the ongoing CONCACAF World Cup
Natsupoi then asks Kanaya, "What did you feel today? What did you think?"

Upon hearing those words, Natsupoi spoke with conviction. "The charm of Kozuen is that she's cute, her costumes are cute, and she's flashy and sparkly, but that's not all. The thing Kozuen values most is heart. Do you understand?" she said, patting Kanaya on the chest
He continued, "It's okay to be ugly. It's okay to be a mess. Just be desperate and pour out what's inside you in the ring, desperately trying to change your life, trying to seize something. That's the kind of spirit that moves the audience. Do you understand?" As he asked this, he whispered something to Anno and Mizumori
Then, extending his right hand, he said, "Hey, welcome to Kozuen!" It was the moment he was finally accepted into the unit
Furthermore, Natsupoi suggested that they choose a leader to mark the birth of the new Kozuen, and nominated Sakura and Kurei as candidates
At this point, Sakura quickly snatched the microphone. "Being a leader is so old-fashioned. From now on, regardless of career experience, I want us all to share our opinions and discuss things together to make this a better unit. So, instead of running for leader, I'm running for captain!" she declared
