At the "STARDOM NIGHTER in KORAKUEN 2026 July" held on Wednesday, July 8th (Korakuen Hall, Tokyo), the Goddesses of Stardom Championship match saw the champions 02line (AZM & Mitsuyoshi Amasaki) defeat Maika & HANAKO's "Cup High Mate" to successfully defend their title for the second time
The determination and pride of both teams clashed fiercely. AZM attacked Maika with speed and submissions, while Tensaki struggled against HANAKO's power, but managed to avoid giving her any clear scoring opportunities
However, just over eight minutes in, 02line were thrown together in a combined avalanche brainbuster, putting them in a dire situation. Furthermore, Tensaki was caught in HANAKO's Shirasagi (standing shoulder hold) and became disoriented
Nevertheless, at a crucial moment, Tensaki unleashed her Tensei (modified facebuster). When this was countered at the count of 2.9, she followed up with a combined DDT. Finally, Tensaki caught HANAKO in the corner and delivered a superplex Tensei, putting an end to the fierce 19-minute and 26-second battle
After the match, both teams showed no signs of animosity. Gina brought over some beer, and the five of them toasted
Amasaki praised HANAKO, saying, "She's my junior, but I always felt like I was losing to her a lot. In Future, it ended in a draw, and I've always felt frustrated about it, so I think I was able to get it off my chest here." She then proudly added, "I think I was able to express my feelings for this Goddess belt, my feelings for AZM, and my feelings for 02line well."
Seeing her partner like that, AZM smiled and said, "I've defended the title twice now, and I'm really impressed by how reliable Mitsuyoshi is. I'm truly moved. Let's continue to defend this Goddess title and grow together."
In the "5★STAR GP 2026" (opening on July 18th in Ota Ward), Tensaki is entered in the same block as HANAKO, and AZM is entered in the same block as Maika. When AZM called out, "It's not a continuation of Goddess, but let's both try to defeat HANAKO and Maika!", Tensaki responded with "Yes!", shifting her focus to the next battle
