Maika & HANAKO's "Cup High Mate" got their revenge against the Goddesses of Stardom champions 02line (AZM & Amasaki Mitsuyoshi)
On July 20th (Monday, public holiday), at the Herbis Hall in Osaka, HANAKO faced Tensaki, also from Kyoto, in a Blue Stars A official match at the midsummer league tournament "Sammy presents STARDOM 5★STAR GP 2026". HANAKO took control of the match by using the height difference to her advantage with a body slam
Furthermore, Maika, who was in her corner, stepped in to help, and the two of them caught a body attack from the apron. This angered AZM, who was in Amasaki's corner, and she joined in to help. There were moments when Amasaki was cornered by various DDTs, but with less than a minute left in the match, HANAKO's JP Coaster landed on Amasaki, giving her the victory
After the match, she held up the Goddess belt and posed for attention, which nearly led to a confrontation with AZM. Maika also joined the fray. The two teams will clash in the Goddess Championship match at the Korakuen Hall event on July 8th. Although they allowed champion 02line to successfully defend the title, they haven't given up on winning the belt yet
Then AZM called out, "Then let's keep going like this!" and the main event of the day, the Red Stars A official match between Maika and AZM, began
The match was a clash of pride between the two rivals. Maika caught a diving attack from the apron and threw it into her corner team. AZM countered a powerbomb outside the ring with a hurricanrana and then launched a running kick from the apron. Time passed with neither side giving an inch
After 10 minutes, Maika kicked out of Azumi Sushi at the count of two and launched a Michinoku Driver II from the corner. She then finished the match with a Michinoku Driver II with a wrist clutch
After the match, Maika grabbed the microphone and said, "I fight AZM in 5★STAR almost every year, and every time I fight her, it's more fun every year. It was the same when we fought in Goddess the other day. I won today, but the top three in this league will advance to the (final) tournament, right? You absolutely have to make it. Let's do it again! You were a fitting opponent for the first match of my summer festival."
He then congratulated HANAKO on her victory, saying, "I'm looking forward to seeing you in the finals at HiHi Mate. Make sure you make it there." His partner nodded in agreement, and the Osaka tournament concluded with a single clap
