[5★STAR] S. Kid vs. Saya Kamitani's grudge match ends in a thrilling draw; Ami Sorei defeats Yuna Mizumori / Korakuen Hall Live Report, July 28th

The outcome of the long-awaited rivalry— On Tuesday, July 28th, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Starlight Kid and Saya Kamitani clashed in a Blue Stars B official match at "Sammy presents STARDOM 5★STAR GP 2026". The match ended in a 15-minute time limit draw, a bitter loss for both of them

This will be their first one-on-one match since Kid challenged the then-champion Kamiya for the World Championship on February 7th in Osaka. In that match, Kamiya injured his finger during the bout but won the grueling 27-minute and 26-second battle to successfully defend his title

In this crucial match, which was the first of the league season for both, Kid appeared in a new costume primarily in yellow. After his initial plancha was dodged, the fight spilled outside the ring. He was dragged around the arena and thrown into the audience

He was then dragged to the south side of the seating area, where they engaged in an elbow exchange in the central aisle. Kid gained the upper hand and delivered a desperate plancha from above the seating gate

From here, he relentlessly attacked her right leg. However, Kamiya changed the momentum with a single knee kick and launched a fierce counterattack

Not to be outdone, Kid attempted a sharp-angled Tiger Driver followed by a Black Tiger Kick Kill. However, he couldn't finish it off, and Kamiya, who was desperate, finally hit him with a Star Crusher

Nevertheless, Kid kicked out at the count of 2.9 and unleashed all his moves, including the Black Tiger Divine Punishment and the Moonsault, but none of them could deliver a decisive blow. With less than 10 seconds remaining, he landed a Tiger Suplex Hold, but still couldn't get the three count. Just as he was about to go for a Star Suplex, the bell rang, signaling the 15-minute time limit

Backstage after the match, Kid said, "It's meaningless unless I beat Kamiya. I really wanted to take two points from Kamiya. I'm really frustrated. But, if I try to take this as a positive, I didn't lose today. If I win my way through this 5★STAR, I might have a chance to face her again if I'm lucky. I definitely want to get through this block and have a rematch with Kamiya. I'll be waiting. Kamiya, you absolutely have to win your way through too. But even if I win then, I want to have that belt on the line next time. So I'm definitely going to win this 5★STAR. I'm looking beyond that too."

She continued, "I'm changing the subject a bit, but recently it was announced that Natsupoi is retiring. To be honest, I'm sad. I was wondering why Natsupoi and (Anno) Saori weren't in this 5★STAR. I was thinking that I wanted to compete against them, but now I think that's why. Kozuen is also in this 5★STAR, and the two of them are important contemporaries and rivals to me. I'm doing this on my own initiative, a little bit on my own initiative, but I want to carry their feelings with me and fight to the end. I'm definitely going to win this 5★STAR, so please watch me!"

On the other hand, Kamiya retorted, "Kid, in the last red title match, I said, 'Let's do another red title match.' That little kitten was wagging its tail today, seemed to have warmed up to me, and looked happy during the match. Don't get cocky, you idiot!"

Then he continued to hurl insults, saying, "But a 15-minute draw? There's no way Lady Saya would be satisfied with that. If that's what you want, then that's fine with me too, you idiot! Next time we play, Lady Saya will bite off your cat mask, your body, and even your tail, you fool!"

In addition, in a Blue Stars B official match, Sorei Ami faced off against high-speed champion Mizumori Yuna. Mizumori launched attacks that made use of her speed, but Sorei responded with a series of reverse horizontal chops. She then caught Mizumori in an Argentine backbreaker, inflicting further damage

After enduring a diving shoulder attack and Kumamoto's unsinkable ship, he won the brainbuster exchange. He then delivered a Blue Thunder Bomb and finally secured the victory with a lightning strike

With this, Sorei's record is now 1 win and 1 loss. She vowed, "I've finally scored 2 points! Last time I lost to an artist, and the next day I thought I'd just do my usual thing, but I think my rhythm was off. But now I feel like I'm finally getting back into my rhythm. Next up is Sendai, against Watanabe Momo. Last year I lost to her in the first round of the tournament, and that was at 5★STAR right after my return. She attacked my legs and I lost that time. But this time it's the other way around. It's 5★STAR right after Watanabe Momo's return. I'm thinking about it too. She's last year's champion, so I'm definitely going to snatch 2 points from her."
