Atina lost to Momo Watanabe in a four-way match at the New Japan Pro Wrestling event held at the Tokyo Dome on January 5th. This loss was triggered by the intervention of Tekla, who was Momo's second. An angry Atina called for a showdown for her ROH Women's World Championship, and a match at Stardom was made. Tekla hits a big boot to the side of the head on the apron and applies a sickle hold. Tekla elbows her, then goes to the corner and applies a hanging figure-four neck hold. As she goes to the corner, Atina hits a jumping high kick and a backflip from the corner. Tekla counters and hits a series of elbows to the back. She grabs her neck and spins her around with a reverse giant swing. She hits a series of elbows, then a thrust attack, an elbow, and a front flip, but she dodges it, but hits a big boot. She hangs her in the corner and kicks her in the back. Tekla gets up, but hits an elbow to the back and another elbow from the front. Atina counters and Tecla hits a swinging DDT. Tecla hits a curb stomp, but it only gets a two count.
Tecla hits a well-aimed spear. She goes for a Dokugumodesutodrop, but Atina counters and hits an elbow. She hits O'Face (Eclipse) and gets the three count.
Tekla: "Atina! You're a real bitch! But that's why I love you."
Atina: "Tekla, I want to fight you again. You said this belt is your ticket to the world, but I'd like to fight you again, anywhere is fine. America would be fine. You're a clean bitch. I'm just like you, buddy."
Atina and Tekla shake hands, then hug each other.
Atina: "It's always been my dream to fight in Japan, in this country. After traveling all over the world, this opportunity has finally come. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you.
