Shuri & Hinami team up against Lady C & Yagami Ranna in a tag team match between fellow God's Eye members. For Hinami and Yagami, this is the second round of the preliminary matches leading up to the Future of Stardom Championship match at Yokohama Arena on April 27th. The previous day in Nagoya, challenger Yagami pinned champion Hinami directly. For Hinami, a college wrestler, it was a painful start with a loss. So, what will happen in this second round?
Hinami and Yagami start the match, charging forward as soon as the bell rings and exchanging elbows. Yagami punches Hinami in the stomach as she charges, and Lady C steps in and hits her with a dropkick to sandwich her. Yagami attempts a brainbuster, but Hinami counters with a body slam, a corner elbow, and a tomoe nage. When Yagami kicks out, Hinami delivers a series of stomps. Shuri also delivers a series of stomps to Yagami, stomps on her face, and then hits her with four consecutive soccer ball kicks. Yagami manages to withstand a series of covers. Shuri continues to provoke Yagami with a barrage of stomps. Shuri comes forward with a series of elbows, which Shuri receives and retaliates with a series of standing knees. Yagami dodges Shuri's charge and delivers a dropkick. Lady hits Shuri with a shoulder tackle, then anticipates her charge and applies a cobra twist. She also applies a cobra twist to Hinami who tries to interfere. Lady escapes but hits Shuri with a big boot. When Shuri retaliates, Lady performs a giant swing 10 times. Shuri dodges her charge and hits Lady with a knee followed by a DDT, shouting "You got what you deserved!" and delivering a PK. Hinami drops a dropkick to Lady and exchanges kicks with Yagami. Hinami delivers a corner elbow attack, Yagami responds with a dropkick and a soccer ball kick. When Hinami retaliates, Yagami applies an armbar. Hinami escapes and attempts a hip toss. Yagami lands a series of elbows, Hinami blocks a middle kick and lands another series of elbows, Yagami lands a series of middle kicks and jumps for an armbar, but Shuri breaks it up. Yagami charges in and lands a PK, followed by a knee attack to the left hand. Hinami counters, but Shuri interferes with her charge, and Hinami goes for an STO. Hinami, having been countered, applies a reverse Boston crab, pulling Yagami back to the center without letting her escape. Hinami transitions into an STF and tightens the hold. Yagami manages to reach the ropes. Hinami shouts "I'm going to finish this!" and throws Yagami backward, but it's broken up. Hinami shouts "It's over!" and attempts a modified Jackhammer. Yagami resists, and with an assist from Lady, Yagami slams Yagami to the mat. 10 minutes have passed. Hinami hits Yagami with a neckbreaker as she charges. She slams her down again, then lifts her up. Yagami counters with a Zero Fighter Kick and a high kick. Hinami stops her charge and applies a Gedo Clutch. Hinami pinned Yagami for the three count.
Shuri: "Today was the second preliminary match between Hinami and Ranna. On April 27th, we'll have a title match for the Future belt. I'm so happy that we can compete against each other as members of God's Eye. I'm looking forward to an exciting match on April 27th. I myself am scheduled to challenge for the IWGP (Women's) title on April 27th. I will definitely win, put the IWGP belt around my waist, and come back to Hamamatsu!
