Tag Match

STARS, consisting of Saya Iida and Momo Kogo, faced off against Cosmic Angels, consisting of Yuna Mizumori and Aya Sakura, in a tag team match. With Mayu Iwatani's departure from STARS and Tam Nakano's retirement from Cosmic Angels, both units are undergoing a period of transition. It will be interesting to see what kind of fight Iida & Kogo and Mizumori & Sakura will show us in this context. This match could also be a clue to their future direction.
Sakura and Kogo volunteered to start the match, and it began. After a struggle for the back, Sakura grabbed Kogo's arm and applied a submission hold. Kogo countered and went for a headlock. Iida drove Sakura into the corner and delivered a reverse chop. Sakura kicked out, and Iida struck a muscle pose while repeatedly going for the cover. Sakura survived, and Kogo delivered a running dropkick. Sakura throws another dropkick, but Iida kicks back. Iida delivers a series of chops to Sakura's back. Sakura dodges Iida's spear attack and hits a soccer ball kick. Mizumori hits Iida with a dropkick. She signals another one coming, but Kogo intervenes. Mizumori then kicks both of them away and hits them one after another with lariats, striking a Yahoo pose. Iida kicks back, and Mizumori prepares for a body slam. Iida counters, and they both attempt a body slam. Both resist, and they exchange shoulders. Iida gains the upper hand, and Mizumori retaliates. Mizumori attempts a throw, but Iida throws her back instead. Kogo hits Mizumori with an elbow. Mizumori retaliates, and they exchange elbows. Kogo hits an arm whip followed by a dropkick. Mizumori dodges the 619. However, Kogo hits a body attack. Mizumori and Sakura's combined attack was dodged, and Kogo and Iida took to the field. Kogo delivered a 619 followed by a combined face crusher. However, Mizumori managed to counter it. Mizumori locked in an arm lock, but Iida broke it up. Sakura and Mizumori launched a striking sandwich attack. However, Kogo's shoulder rose. Kogo rolled up Mizumori. Mizumori countered, and a series of roll-up attempts ensued. Kogo delivered a thrust kick followed by a neckbreaker. Mizumori countered, and Sakura blocked Kogo's swinging DDT with a high kick. Then Mizumori applied a submission hold to Kogo, forcing him to tap out.
