Yuna Mizumori, returning to Kumamoto, will challenge Wonder of Stardom Champion Starlight Kid in a singles match. Mizumori has been determined to win the High Speed Championship, but a one-on-one match against the white belt champion is a great opportunity. She hopes to use this to her advantage both individually and as a unit in the future.
"Tropical please!" Mizumori asks, extending her hand for a handshake, but Kid quickly pulls it back and the bell rings. They lock up and immediately exchange arm whips. They move into rope work, with Mizumori leaping over Kid and dodging her with another arm whip. Mizumori charges forward and delivers a shoulder tackle. She sends Kid out of the ring, but Kid quickly returns and shouts, "Not a chance!" before delivering a dropkick to the knee. Kid slams Mizumori's right knee into the mat and then performs a standing moonsault press. Mizumori attacks with a series of elbows, but Kid responds with a dropkick and a Texas Cloverleaf. Mizumori escapes, and Kid kicks her in the back, sending her out of the ring. Kid climbs to the corner, but Mizumori catches up and throws her out of the ring. Mizumori did a plancha from the apron. Back in the ring, Mizumori hit a series of lariats and a guillotine drop. Kid dodged a lariat from a headlock and hit an elbow, saying, "Looks like your legs are hurting," and taunted, "What's wrong?" Mizumori retaliated with an elbow, and Kid retaliated back. Kid hit a series of elbows, saying, "I won't lose!", but Mizumori stood up after taking the barrage. Kid hit a chop, Mizumori blocked the second one and hit a flying shoulder tackle. Kid dodged a triangle jump body press and went for a fisherman suplex. Mizumori resisted but took a body attack and a fisherman suplex. Kid climbed to the corner and did a spinning diving body press, but Mizumori drove his knee into it. Both were down, and Mizumori charged, but Kid dodged and hit a stretch muffler. Mizumori countered and slammed Kid into the corner before rolling him up. There was an exchange of roll-ups and a battle of Magistral counters. Mizumori countered and 10 minutes had passed. Mizumori lands a lariat, a lariat from close range. Kid kicks out, and Mizumori declares he's going for the finish and delivers a triangle jump body press. Kid kicks out and counters with an elbow, their elbows clash, and Kid's running elbow connects. Kid aims for a jumping kick, climbs to the corner, and delivers a spinning diving body press. However, Mizumori kicks out. Kid goes for the Black Tiger Divine Punishment, Dragon Screw, Stretch Muffler, and then Black Tiger Leg Kill. But Mizumori's hands grab the ropes. Kid pulls Mizumori up, but Mizumori counters and lifts him up. Kid counters again and delivers a double knee from behind. Mizumori endures and delivers a Hurricane Driver and a lariat. Kid kicks out, and Mizumori gets into a shoulder carry position. Kid counters and rolls him up. Mizumori kicks out and Kid goes for a Magistral. Kid kicks out at the last moment, dodges a lariat, rolls him up, and delivers a Black Tiger Leg Kill. Mizumori endures, but in the end he gives up.
Kid: "Hahaha. Congratulations on your homecoming, Yunamon! I heard that last lariat. How is the strength of a two-time champion? Right now the Artist title has been taken by H.A.T.E., so I don't have the belt in my possession, but it's not every day that you get to have a singles match against the Wonder Champion for the second year in a row (on your homecoming)."
Mizumori: "I think I understand the power of a homecoming. I'm glad. Kid, you accepted the challenge. Why?"
Kid: "Why? Because ever since Yunamon set the goal of High Speed, I've been able to feel how hard she's working towards it, even though we're not from the same stable. Did the audience feel that when they watched today's match? But the High Speed Champion is Mei-chan, who is from the same stable as me, and I've also won the High Speed title eight times." "I've always been a challenger, so I can't say it'll be easy, but after today's fight, my expectations for Yunamon's High Speed have grown. So never give up on your chances and work hard towards your goal!" Mizumori
: "Even though we're not from the same stable, I promise you. I will definitely become the High Speed Champion this year. Kid, in pro wrestling, even if you work hard, you don't always get rewarded. But because I worked hard, because I kept working hard, Kid fought against me. And there are more people at this Kumamoto tournament than last year. I decided to challenge myself here to do pro wrestling that only I can do right now, and that's why I am who I am today. When I come back to Kumamoto next year, I will definitely be the champion! Tomorrow (New Japan 5/4 Fukuoka), I hope we can team up instead of facing each other."
Kid: "That's right. Tomorrow, Yunamon and AZM and I will be taking on New Japan Pro-Wrestling!" Today was my first singles match, and tomorrow is my first tag team match. I'll be next to you tomorrow, so please look forward to it. So, since I was the one who won in the end today, I'd love to hear an SLK chant, but would you mind giving me a big Yunamon chant instead?
Mizumori: Thank you. Everyone, please look forward to Stardom matches this year, and I will definitely, definitely show you some amazing matches and show you how much I've grown, so please come again next year. Lastly, when you think of me, you think of Tropical Yahoo! Stardom Pro Wrestling, Kumamoto show, awesome! Tropical Yahoo!
"Returning to Kumamoto, it's a really important place for me because every time I come back here, it always motivates me to work even harder. Last year, I was able to show how much I've improved here, so this year I'm going to become even more tropical, and as I promised, I'm going to come back to Kumamoto as champion. To do that, I had a match against Starlight Kid today, and I plan to have more singles matches against former High Speed Champions in the future. Last year, there were 382 people in attendance at the Kumamoto event, but this year it was a full house of 447. I'm working hard with Kumamoto Castle Hall, and beyond that, Grand Messe Kumamoto, in my sights. Everyone, please keep an eye on the evolution of Kozuen, Mizumori Yuna, and High Speed from now on. Thank you so much for always supporting me."
