Starlight Kid & Seira Mei, the Neo Genesis team, faced off against Saori Anno & Seira Mei, the Cosmic Angels team, in a tag team match. For Kid and Anno, this was a preliminary bout leading up to their Wonder of Stardom Championship match on July 21st in Sapporo. Kid had long been calling for Anno to challenge her, and she finally accepted. This was their first meeting since the match was officially decided, so it will be interesting to see what kind of tactics will unfold. Anno's fighting style, having decided to take on the challenge, will likely be key. Also, for Mizumori, who is aiming for the High Speed Championship, this match against the champion Seira is a great opportunity to make an impression.
Kid and Anno faced each other at the start. They glared at each other in the center of the ring, and Kid touched Anno's chin. Anno retaliated, and they locked up in a test of strength. Anno grabbed Kid's arm and squeezed, but Kid managed to get back in. Anno countered with a headlock, and Kid got on top, but Anno dodged and also dodged Kid's big boot. Kid delivers a dropkick to Anno's knee, then a standing moonsault towards her right knee. However, Anno dodges and retaliates with a dropkick to the knee. Kid escapes, but Anno delivers a dropkick to her right knee. Mizumori slams Kid with a body slam, showing off to all four sides. After a series of stomps, she shouts "Take this!" and delivers a guillotine drop to Kid's knee. She then stomps on Kid's right knee. Kid refuses to be thrown into the ropes and delivers a series of elbows. Mizumori knocks her away with a chop and charges forward. Kid dodges and delivers a crossbody attack. Seira hits Mizumori with a lariat, and as she jumps onto the second rope, Anno interferes on the apron. Mizumori and Anno try to combine, but Seira hits them both with a swan dive missile kick.
Mizumori retaliates and hits Seira with a lariat. Seira fought back, and they exchanged elbows. Mizumori won the exchange and went for a guillotine, but Seira dodged it and they exchanged roll-ups. Mizumori caught Seira's charge and delivered an arm whip followed by a dropkick. Anno hit Seira with a missile kick. Seira countered with a savate kick. Kid entered the ring, asking for a tag. Anno stuck out her leg, but Kid hit a dropkick to the knee, a knee crusher, and then, saying "This time for sure!", delivered a standing moonsault press. Anno was in agony, and when Kid went for her leg, she escaped to the ropes. Anno caught Kid's kick and delivered a dragon screw, then a bridged modified figure-four leglock, transitioning into a regular figure-four and tightening the hold. Kid managed to escape. Anno pulled Kid up and got into a fisherman suplex position. Kid resisted, but Anno kicked her in the knee. Anno climbed to the corner, but Kid delivered a superplex arm whip. 10 minutes had passed. When Anno slammed Kid with a Fisherman Suplex, Kid returned the favor with a Fisherman Suplex of his own. Mizumori hit Kid with a series of spear lariats and a diving shoulder tackle. Kid countered, dodged Mizumori's lariat, and got behind him. Kid was countered, but attacked Mizumori's knee and applied a Stretch Muffler. Anno quickly made the break. Seira and Kid teamed up for a double savate kick, and Kid kicked Mizumori into the corner. Anno made the break and hit Kid with a Fisherman Suplex, Mizumori hit a sliding lariat and a lariat from close range. Kid countered, and countered Mizumori's Hurricane Driver with a Stretch Muffler. Mizumori countered and hit a lariat. Kid dodged, but Mizumori rolled him up. However, Seira made the break just in time. Mizumori charged at Kid, but Seira stopped her and Kid delivered a 619. Seira then delivered a dropkick, followed by a dragon screw, a stretch muffler, and a black tiger leg kill, at which point Mizumori gave up.
Kid: "This situation, facing Saori Anno as a challenger, is just amazing! Saori, I've been thinking about you and watching you ever since this title match was decided, and even before it was decided. You're watching me too, right?"
Anno: "Of course. I've been watching Kid ever since before I joined Stardom. I'm so excited to be your challenger. See you tomorrow, Kid."
Kid: "Yeah."
Mizumori: "Seira Mei, we lost the tag team match today, but I've always been after that High Speed belt."
Seira: "Yunamon, I'm so happy that you've been after this belt for so long, but there's someone I really want to face this time, there's someone I really want to face, so first, let's beat each other to a pulp in a singles match at the 5★STAR GP."
