Saree defended her IWGP Women's Championship at ROH in the US, while Syuri defeated Alex Windsor in a title match in the UK, returning to Japan to fulfill a promise she made to Syuri. A surprise IWGP Women's Championship match between Saree and Syuri was suddenly scheduled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling's October 13th Ryogoku event. This will be Saree's first time competing in New Japan, and she will be wearing the IWGP belt, but this match will serve as a warm-up for the title match. Hoping to reclaim her title, Syuri will be taking to the stage with Hinan and Yagami Ranna in a God's Eye formation, while Saree will return to Korakuen Hall as a trio with ChiChi and Kanae Miku. With their showdown just three days away, what kind of tactics will these two unleash? It's also a revenge match for Hina and Yagami, who lost to Saree in the official 5★STAR GP match.
Holding the belt, Saree and Akari stare each other down. Both starters win, then ChiChi and Yagami intervene. The match starts with Yagami and ChiChi. Yagami threatens with a low kick and locks up. They trade elbows, and Yagami lands a flurry of punches, followed by a low kick and a series of middle kicks. Chichi returns with a flying body scissors drop. Kanae leaps at Yagami and goes for a dropkick. Yagami returns with a dropkick, and Akari hits Kanae with a dropkick. Akari hits Kanae with a series of soccer ball kicks, but Saree cuts her off. Hina body slams Kanae three times in a row. Kanae returns with a flurry of elbows, and Hina takes the bait. Kanae hits a dropkick, followed by a big boot from ChiChi. Saree follows with a dropkick and a fisherman. When Hina returns, Saree sends her flying with a missile kick. However, Akari cuts off. Saree kicks Hina in the face. Hina slams her with a hip sweep and hands the match to Akari. Akari hits Saree with a dropkick, knee, and a front neck chancery drop. When Akari goes to the corner, Saree catches up with her, headbutting and hitting an avalanche brainbuster. Akari quickly gets up and hits a knee attack. When Saree holds back, they exchange elbows.
Akari hits a knee attack, a codebreaker, Saree hits a foot stamp, and a diving foot stamp. Kanae hits Akari with a series of dropkicks and elbows, followed by a diving body attack. Akari returns and applies an armbar. Saree cuts off and prepares to throw Akari with a uranage throw. Akari tries to hold on but Saree slams her down with a powerbomb. Kanae rolls her up but Akari kicks back. Kanae hits a series of elbows, Hina hits a dropkick, Yagami and Hina go for a neckbreaker, and Akari hits a penalty kick. However, ChiChi manages to cut her off. Akari lifts Kanae up and counters with a roll-up. 10 minutes pass. Akari applies an armbar and then an armlock. Suzaku locks her on the ground, and Kanae gives up.

Saree: "Of course. Akari, I have no intention of losing to you at all. I am the symbol of the IWGP Women's title, now and always. I will prove it to you, so look forward to it."
