Yamashita: "It's been a few months since I joined Mi Vida Roka, and the 5★STAR GP is over, so we're naturally having more tag team matches. And there's this young guy who always looks dissatisfied, both during and after the matches, like he doesn't know what to do... I just had to beat him up. We actually sparred just the other day, the day before the Niigata (Joetsu) tournament, and I suddenly decided to do it. I was serious. I thought to myself, I haven't even been a wrestler for a year yet, and I'm doing this to a senior wrestler who's been around for over 10 years, I'd hate it if I were in your shoes, and I sparred with you thinking that. And at that moment, I thought to myself, you're so much, so much better than I was when I first debuted, and honestly, I was jealous. After the sparring, various wrestlers and staff members said to me, Since you've only just debuted, I'm sure you have a lot of work to do, lots of chores besides matches. But it's hard to show that in the ring. The staff said that Akira works really hard even outside of matches, and they want that to be rewarded, and that they want her to really shine in the ring. Everyone wants Akira to do her best, and I'm one of them. It's hard to get results, isn't it? Because you've only just debuted and haven't even been a pro for a year yet. But that day, when I said I wanted to spar with you, you immediately said yes and worked hard, and that's why this singles match happened today. You didn't get the three count, but the fact that you had a singles match with me today is a clear result. Anyway, you want to reach the top of women's pro wrestling, right?!
Akira: "Yes, I want to take it!"
Yamashita: "I'm looking forward to it. There's no such thing as an elite course. There aren't really any shiny heroes in pro wrestling, but I prefer ordinary people who get up after being beaten and bruised. Show us lots of times when you're beaten and become a wrestler who gives energy to many people! Anyway, you did a great job today! Let's have another singles match! Thank you for watching Akira's first step in growth! This guy still has a lot more to offer!"
