For her ninth defense of the High Speed Championship, Seira Mei chose Hazuki, the opponent she had drawn with in 15 minutes during her previous reign. The rules of the High Speed Championship match were changed back from a 10-minute, three-fall match to a 15-minute, one-fall match, with Seira wanting to "settle the score from that time," while Hazuki, who had just returned from a tour of Mexico, held two singles titles in Spark Women's and CMLL Japan Women's. Both women wanted to settle the score this time in the High Speed Championship match. If Seira won, she would be one win away from double-digit title defenses, and if Hazuki made a run for it, she would become a triple champion.
After a lock-up, Hazuki took Seira down and rolled her up, and Seira grabbed her neck and they fought on the ground. Hazuki used the ropes to leap and send Seira out of the ring. Hazuki faked a move and posed. Seira returned to the ring, and Hazuki delivered a kick followed by a dropkick. Hazuki went for a one-legged cover. Seira kicked out, and Hazuki kicked her in the face. Hazuki delivers a chop, then a series of elbows into the corner and a senton. When Seira kicks out, Hazuki stomps on her and delivers another senton. Hazuki grabs Seira's neck and legs for a submission hold. When Seira escapes, Hazuki drives her to the ropes and delivers a face wash. However, Seira sends her to the outside with a dropkick and performs a plancha. Seira brings Hazuki back in and delivers a missile kick from the second rope, and Hazuki dodges a lariat, but Seira hits a brainbuster. Hazuki kicks out, and five minutes have passed. After an exchange of elbows, Hazuki charges forward and Seira hits a lariat, Hazuki hits an elbow, jumps to the second rope for a hurricanrana and a big boot. Hazuki hits a tope on Seira who has fallen to the floor. She then sends Seira flying with a missile kick from the corner. When Seira kicks out, Hazuki delivers a corner elbow and a brainbuster. She then hits a diving double knee drop from the second rope. Seira kicks out, and Hazuki goes to the top rope. Seira slapped Hazuki from below and attempted a top-rope Frankensteiner to finish her off. Hazuki quickly got up and delivered a double kick, Seira responded with a dropkick, and they exchanged roll-up attempts before Hazuki jumped on her. Seira dodged and delivered a German suplex. Seira climbed to the corner but Hazuki dropped her and went for the cover. Seira kicked out and Hazuki delivered a diving senton. Seira managed to kick out and countered an attempted brainbuster for a checkmate. Ten minutes had passed, and as Hazuki kicked out, Seira went for a farewell ✌. Hazuki reversed it and slammed her down for the pin. Seira kicked out, dodged a double kick, and delivered a powerbomb. She declared it was the finish and delivered a checkmate for the three count.
Seira: "I succeeded in hunting down Hazuki! Hazuki-san (tears)... Thank you for accepting Mei's challenge today. Since I got this belt, I've tried many different things, but I've failed a lot... I've failed, but today, from here on, I'll do my best to change the history of High Speed again."
Hazuki: "Mei-chan, you're a genius! You're strong! So you should express your opinions more, and the support of the fans... that doesn't matter. You're the one fighting in the ring, right? You're the champion, so you should value your own will more, and your own feelings more when you fight. You always cry after our matches (laughs). I'm the one who should be crying, because I couldn't get the belt. Mei-chan defended it today, but I want to fight Mei-chan even more. So instead of this High Speed belt, let's have a singles match for the CMLL (Japan Women's) belt that I have, the one that Mei-chan couldn't get."
Hazuki and Seira shake hands.
Hazuki: "Is it decided? Okay? Well, if Mei-chan is okay with it, then let's find another place and have the company make an announcement. For now, since Mei-chan has defended her title, make sure you wrap things up properly and stylishly on your own."
Seira: "I was really nervous before the match today, but now I feel a little relieved. I'm really clumsy and not very good at getting results right away, but I'll raise the value of this belt at my own pace, at Mei's high speed, so please stick with me. Thank you."
Hazuki's comments
: "My first match back after returning from Mexico was a title match, and it was fun. Mei is strong and a genius, and I'm sure I learned a lot in Mexico, but I could feel in the fight that she must have studied hard to surpass that, and it was fun...but I'm frustrated. I wanted to be the first triple crown winner, wearing the High Speed belt here, and stand there looking cool in the ring, but it wasn't possible. However, as I said in the ring, I still want to fight Mei. This time it was in the form of High Speed, but next time I want to fight Mei for this CMLL (Japan Women's) belt, show her a different kind of fight than High Speed, and then properly defend my title and remain a double champion. Well, Mei, you may be clumsy, but have more confidence in yourself. You are a true genius. I look forward to seeing Mei's High Speed Road continue."
Seira's comments:
Seira: "I succeeded in hunting down Hazuki. I don't talk about this with the fans or in the ring, but there are so many things I'm grateful for to Hazuki-san, and I've always thought that I had to surpass her, but today I think I've come really close to surpassing Hazuki-san. I've failed at a lot of things and tried and failed at a lot of things, but today I gained a lot of confidence. I want to raise the value of this belt even more with Mei's pro wrestling. Hazuki-san is done. Next is Yunamon. It's Yunamon."
Mizumori enters.
Mizumori: "Mei." Seira:
"Here she comes."
Mizumori: "Congratulations on defending your title.
" Seira: "Thank you."
Mizumori: "You know what to do without me having to say it. Let's do it."
Seira: "Let's do it. I'm going home. My body is worn out..."
