Kyoto natives Mitsuyoshi Amasaki and HANAKO made a stunning impression in their homecoming match. The two were in the main event at "STARDOM in KYOTO 2026 May." held at KBS Hall in Kyoto on Sunday, May 31st. HANAKO, Maika, Koguma, and Ranna Yagami faced Amasaki, AZM, Starlight Kid, and Emma Mashima
Due to illness, Tensaki had been absent since the May 23 Aichi tournament, but this match marked her return. Goddesses of Stardom champions 02line (Tensaki & AZM) landed a combined dropkick on Yagami, but HANAKO was not to be outdone
He caught Mashima with an Argentine spinebreaker and then slammed him into the corner with his extraordinary power
The match turned into a fierce battle with all eight participants involved, and in the end, HANAKO defeated Mashima with her signature move, the JP Coaster
Grabbing the microphone, HANAKO declared, "I'm back! It's Tensaki who's back, welcome back. The Goddess belts you guys are wearing aren't just for FWC (Hazuki & Koguma), we're after those belts too. Of course, it's with Maika. I know you have a title defense with FWC coming up. No matter who wins, we'll challenge and win. All of you, just wait!"
Originally, the title match between the reigning champion 02line and FWC was scheduled for the May 23rd Aichi tournament, but it was postponed due to an injury to Tensaki. HANAKO has now "pre-booked" a match with the winner of that match in mind
Next, Tensaki took the microphone and apologized to Koguma, saying, "I'm sorry for postponing the title match," before asking, "Since you've been waiting, does that mean you're ready anytime?"
He then added, "There's one more thing we need to take care of. Emma. You've been recruited by NEO GENESIS, right? It's on hold for now, isn't it? Let's go to the back later." Tenzaki's Kyoto dialect was so powerful that it caused a stir in the venue
He hastily tried to explain, "We were just going to talk," but even Hanako muttered, "Tenzaki-senpai is scary..."
Finally, HANAKO led the way in a single clap to conclude the event
Backstage, Amasaki said, "When I was invited to join Neo-Generation, I was also hung up on the past and hesitated. I was afraid of losing something again, at that time. There was a part of me that couldn't move forward because of that fear, but I joined Neo-Generation because I wanted to change that part of myself. Emma has been working alone for a year, thinking about who she wants to work with and how she wants to grow, right? I think she has found the answer herself during that year. If that's not Neo-Generation, then it's fine to just refuse, and I think she should do what she envisions. But if Emma is only worried because she's afraid of failure, then I'd like to know what kind of decision she should make when it's okay to fail as much as she wants."
Then, Mashima said, "It's not like I haven't thought about anything for the past year. I want to pour all those feelings out to Amasaki, so please let's be singles." Amasaki readily agreed, saying, "Okay, let's do it," and they shook hands
