MATCH REPORT

The midsummer single league tournament, "Sammy presents STARDOM 5★STAR GP 2026," kicked off on July 18th (Saturday) at the EBARA WAVE Arena Ota (Ota City General Gymnasium) in Tokyo. Last year's champion, "Black Peach" Watanabe Momo, got off to a good start in her bid for a second consecutive victory

In an official Blue Stars B match, she faced high-speed champion Yuna Mizumori. She gained momentum by throwing Mizumori into the audience after a double knee strike on the apron. She then snatched a cheering towel from an audience member and choked her

With an even more provocative smile, he sat down and received Mizumori's kick head-on, then followed up with three rapid brainbusters and ten middle kicks. He turned the fallen Mizumori into a human punching bag

There were moments when he was hit with a series of short-range lariats from the unsinkable Kumamoto, but he didn't allow them to catch up with his B driver

After enduring Kumamoto's unsinkable ship attack to the back of the head, he delivered the final blow with a brutal, heartless screwdriver

Backstage after the match, Watanabe grinned and said, "Here it goes again. The 5★STAR GP. My 5★STAR GP has begun. Well, this pain, this singles match, is what 5★STAR is all about. Ah, this is so much fun. Well, I'll just go ahead and win the tournament, and I'll be the first ever to win two consecutive titles."

It was Mizumori who burst in at this point. "I've said this many times, Watanabe Momo! Right now, there may be a huge difference between me and you. The world may think so, but! I will definitely change that in this year's 5★STAR! I will definitely go all the way to the finals to fight you again! I will win this league!" she declared

However, Watanabe left for the waiting room, saying, "I'm not interested in you."
