STARS' Hamabe Matoi was encouraged by COSMIC ANGELS' Natsupoi, who will be retiring from active competition at the Yokohama Budokan event on January 3rd next year
Due to Seira Mei's absence due to illness, a last-minute card change resulted in a singles match against Natsupoi. As soon as the bell rang, Hamabe launched a dropkick, followed by a series of elbow strikes
However, when she grabbed his hair and threw him, he fell victim to a camel hold. With his stamina depleted, Hamabe continued to struggle
Nevertheless, he retaliated with a counter dropkick followed by a somersault drop. He then locked in an armbar, but couldn't regain the momentum. He was caught in an armbar after a diving body attack
His attempt at a shoulder throw wasn't a decisive blow, and he was ultimately defeated by a Poi Lock (a modified wing-breaking hold)
The previous night, Hamabe competed in the Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling's "8th Jajiuma Tournament," which is open to wrestlers with less than three years of experience. She defeated Takano Reina (Sendai Girls) in the first round and Aya Sakura (Uptown) in the second round to reach the semi-finals. Can she use the experience she gained in her singles match against Natsupoi to push forward and win the championship?
Natsupoi: "I think this is actually my first time having a singles match with Matoi. I've always wanted to fight her. Matoi is really great. Every single move she makes has soul and it really resonated with me. Right now there's the Wild Horse Tournament, right? Because she's representing Stardom. I hope Matoi will make the other promotions eat their words as Stardom's representative. I'm looking forward to it. Do your best and win! Bye-poi!"
Hamabe Matoi:"I'm so happy that I was able to have a singles match with Natsupoi before her retirement, and yesterday I advanced to the semifinals of the Jajyuma Tournament. Being able to have a match with Natsupoi before that will give me strength, and I'm only aiming to win the Jajyuma Tournament, so I will use today's singles match as motivation to win the championship. Thank you very much."
