A new challenge awaits Matoi Hamabe of STARS: a one-on-one battle against the "final boss."
At her homecoming show, she faced Saya Iida, also from Chiba and a fellow trainee, in a singles match. She wanted to gain momentum for the semi-finals of the Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling "Jajiuma Tournament" (November 6th, Sendai PIT), but the senior wrestler proved to be a formidable opponent
Hamabe was subjected to a reverse Boston crab and a barrage of 35 reverse horizontal chops. Nevertheless, Hamabe sought an opening with a dropkick, followed by a somersault drop and an armbar. He then landed a series of chops on Iida, who was thrusting out her chest, and finished her off with a shoulder throw
The loud "Matoi" chants from the local fans gave him a boost, but he couldn't break through Iida's defenses. In the end, he was defeated by a lariat
After the match, when Iida asked Hamabe, "What did you feel about our singles match?", Hamabe declared, "It was amazing, so much fun. But it also made me realize that I still have a long way to go. But I'm a wild horse, and I'm going to win and take home the championship."
Then Iida said, "Something's missing to win the championship, right? I personally asked the final boss of Stardom, that person, for a singles match. So I'm asking you too." The person who appeared from the entrance gate was Shuri
"Hello, I'm the final boss!" Shuri announced as she appeared, and then demanded, "If we're going to do this, I won't hold back. Is it OK if we have a singles match on October 18th at the Utsunomiya tournament? Give me everything you've got as Matoi." Iida also bowed her head and said, "Please lend the final boss your strength for Matoi's sake," and cheered on Hamabe, saying, "Go and shatter Shuri's chest!"
The Jajyuma Tournament is a stepping stone for young wrestlers, organized by Sendai Girls. In principle, wrestlers who have debuted within the last three years compete regardless of their organization, and this year marks the 8th edition of the tournament. Hamabe won two matches at the Shin-Kiba event on October 1st, securing a place in the semi-finals
Before the semi-finals, Hamabe faces off against Shuri. Having been encouraged by her senior in her hometown, can Hamabe transform this battle against the final boss into a springboard for success?
Saya Iida: "In preparation for the Jajyuma tournament, I was able to fight Matoi during this period, and I was able to express my feelings to Matoi, and I think Matoi expressed her feelings to me, so I think it was good that we both felt something, but it's still not enough to win the championship, so I personally asked the final boss, Shuri, for a singles match."
Matoi Hamabe:"Iida-san asked Shuri-san for help, and we've decided on a singles match at the Utsunomiya tournament... I'm going to go all out against Shuri-san with the intention of beating her in a singles match, and then I'll win the tournament as a wild horse!"
