ROH Women's World Championship Pre-match

The eight-woman tag team match saw Athena, Hazuki, Koguma, and Kogo Momo face off against H.A.T.E.'s Kamitani Saya, Watanabe Momo, Thekla, and Ruanka. This match will be the final preliminary bout for champion Athena and challenger Thekla ahead of the ROH Women's World Championship match on January 13th at Korakuen Hall. In the previous day's match, champion Athena pinned Thekla directly, seemingly gaining the upper hand. However, with H.A.T.E. as their opponents, complacency is out of the question. Thekla might have something up her sleeve as she aims to win the belt in America. Athena has once again teamed up with STARS. She is tag team partner Koguma, as they have been for days. As Athena is
introduced, Thekla sneaks up behind her and delivers an elbow as she turns around. The fight spills outside the ring, with Thekla tormenting Athena, Ruanka tormenting Koguma, and Momo tormenting Hazuki outside the ring. Tekla brings Athena back into the ring and slams her into the corner multiple times, then stomps on her face. She then delivers a thrust kick from behind. Ryuka hits Athena with a running lariat. When Athena retaliates, Ryuka holds her to the ropes and attacks with H.A.T.E. Ryuka then chokes Athena. Momo kicks her in the face, taunting her with "What's wrong, you're the champion." Athena is thrown into the ropes and delivers a modified Kawazu Otoshi followed by a dropkick. However, Momo doesn't let her tag and applies a sleeper hold. Tekla interferes, but Athena slams them both onto the mat. Hazuki hits Momo with a missile kick and a face lock. Hazuki and Koguma dive from two directions, and STARS and Athena deliver a face wash from four directions. Hazuki takes a series of middle kicks from Momo and gets back up. Momo kicks her down, but Hazuki dodges the PK and hits a Codebreaker. Momo stops her charge and hits a brainbuster. Kamitani hits Hazuki with a dropkick, a corner knee attack, a face scratch, and a swan dive body attack from the apron. Kogo hits a swan dive missile kick, Kamitani dodges the 619, but Kogo slips through and hits a dropkick. Kamitani feints by putting the referee in front of her and hits Kogo with a dropkick. Thekla points to Athena and they exchange kicks. Athena hits a corner elbow, and Thekla returns the favor with an elbow of her own. H.A.T.E. interferes and launches a series of corner attacks. Thekla lands a spear, but Athena counters. Thekla declares she's going for the finish and goes for the Poison Spider. Athena resists, and Hazuki cuts off Thekla's charge, Kogo hits a 619, a STARS face crusher, and Athena hits a rolling elbow. Tekla brought out a box and struck with it, but Athena kicked it away to stop her, then slammed it forward. However, Momo interfered. In the ensuing scuffle, Tekla brought out the ROH Women's World Championship belt from the commentator's table. Athena slammed Ruanka to the mat. Tekla struck her with the belt and was disqualified. Tekla then delivered a poisonous spider dropkick to Athena. She stomped on the downed Athena and showed off the belt.

Thekla: "Athina, you're a bullshit when it comes to being the eternal champion. I'm gonna crush you tomorrow at Cora Quen Hall!"
