The tournament to determine who will challenge for the NEW BLOOD Tag Team Championship, currently held by Tsukiyama Wakana & HANAKO, has begun. The first match of the first round is between the Cosmic Angels' "Sakuradamon" Mizumori Yuna & Sakura Aya and Yoneyama Kaori & Rian. Yoneyama and Rian, who hit it off at the previous NB, are teaming up for the first time. Will Yoneyama's lead, as they dare to challenge for the NB Tag Team Championship, lift Rian up?
Sakura and Rian volunteer to start the match. Yoneyama sends them off saying, "I'm leaving it to you." Rian resists, dodges a lariat, and delivers a cross body. Yoneyama attempts a lariat, Mizumori dodges it, and Sakura dodges it too. Mizumori and Sakura try to team up, but Yoneyama hits Mizumori with a dropkick, simultaneously hits Sakura with a senton, and then hits both of them with a senton. Mizumori dodges Yoneyama's charge and delivers a dropkick. Sakura hits Yoneyama with a corner knee kick followed by a dropkick. Yoneyama delivers a Mongolian chop. Sakura dodges a spinning punch but takes a dropkick. Rian follows up with a series of dropkicks. Sakura retaliates, then counters Rian's stance and delivers a body slam followed by a triangle choke. Yoneyama tries to break it up, but Mizumori throws her out of the ring. Mizumori and Sakura launch a striking sandwich attack. Sakura climbs to the corner and delivers a knee attack. Rian dodges and, with assistance from Yoneyama, lands a dropkick, body slam, and diving body attack. Rian attempts a fisherman suplex, but Sakura counters and jumps into a triangle choke. Rian's feet manage to reach the ropes. Rian dodges Sakura's high kick and rolls her up. Sakura kicks out and gets on top, but it's only a two count. Yoneyama assists Rian with a spinning punch as she attempts another roll-up. Sakura kicks out of the roll-up, and Yoneyama rolls them both up at once. Rian tries to hold her down, but Sakura manages to kick out at the last moment. Rian lands a series of elbows, and Sakura counters with a middle kick followed by a right high kick. The three count is called, and Sakura pins Rian.
