The second round of the Cinderella Tournament between Sayaka Kurei and Ranna Yagami is a one-on-one battle between two competitors who debuted on the same day. In the first round the previous day, Kurei defeated Ruika and Yagami defeated Tetsu Akira to advance to the second round. The winner of this match between rivals will advance to the semi-finals
After a staring contest, Yagami lands a low kick. From a lock-up, Yagami applies a headlock. When Kurei tries to counter, Yagami uses an arm whip followed by a middle kick, a series of stomps, drives her against the ropes, and stomps on her face. Yagami taunts Kurei, saying "Come on," and stands firm against her series of elbows, twisting her left arm and kicking it upwards. She follows up with another elbow and knee to the left arm, then a soccer ball kick. When Kurei counters, Yagami goes for an armbar. When Kurei escapes, Yagami lands a series of kicks to her left arm. Kurei counters with a dropkick, a corner dropkick, and a body slam. When Yagami counters, Kurei applies a sleeper hold. Yagami counters Kurei's attempt at a neckbreaker, and they exchange elbows. Yagami lands a series of blows, and Kurei uses the rebound from the ropes to deliver a body attack. Yagami blocks Kurei's spear and applies an armlock. However, Kurei's foot gets caught on the ropes. Yagami aims and attempts a PK, but it only gets a two count. Yagami knocks Kurei down with a series of middle kicks. He pulls her up and Yagami hits a corner high kick and a dropkick. Kurei retaliates, and Yagami taunts her with "Come on." Kurei charges in with a series of elbows. Yagami charges back, and Kurei jumps on him and applies a sleeper hold. Yagami escapes, and Kurei applies a neckbreaker and then a hold. Yagami escapes, and Kurei hits a missile kick from the corner. Yagami gets up and hits a high kick. Both are down. They get up at the eight count and exchange elbows. Kurei hits a series of elbows and charges, but Yagami stops her and applies an armbar. Kurei escapes, and Yagami hits her left arm with a kick and a knee. "Not yet!" she shouts, grabbing his neck and slamming him onto the mat. Ten minutes have passed. Yagami delivers a series of knee strikes followed by a Zero Fighter Kick. Kurei dodges and rolls him up. Yagami kicks out at the last moment and delivers another Zero Fighter Kick. Kurei counters, and Yagami goes for a triangle kick. Kurei dodges and delivers a Tokimeki Spear. Yagami manages to lift his shoulder at the last moment, and Kurei lands a Tokimeki Cutter. "Not yet!" she screams, and delivers a Falcon Arrow. Yagami can't counter and Kurei advances to the semi-finals
Kurei: "I beat Ranna! I beat Ranna! This is the first time I've pinned you for three counts. Now that I've made it this far in the Cinderella Tournament, I definitely want to win the championship, and I want to fight Ranna again and again. I won today, but let's fight together again."
When Kurei offered a handshake, Yagami grabbed her hand and elbowed her, then pushed her away and left the ring
Kurei: "And with my victory over Ranna, all four of the Cinderella Tournament's top four have been decided. Everyone who has a chance of fighting me, please come forward."
Hanan, Rinami, and Azusa enter the ring
Hanan: "One of these four will become Cinderella, and since I've come this far, I can only see myself winning, so no matter who I fight, I will definitely win."
Azusa: "Sakura and Hanako had a great battle as classmates, so I'll easily make it to the semi-finals, but winning is a given. First, I'll defeat the cute, cute Kurei-chan, no, that old hag who's acting all cutesy at her age, and then I'll beat Rinami in the finals and win the championship.
