Tabata: La Immortal

MATCH REPORT

Hina, who won the Future of Stardom Championship, faced Tabata, who came from Mexico, in the first round of the tournament. With Tabata having just under two years of experience, this match could be seen as a virtual Future Championship match. Hina has graduated from high school and is about to enter college. Will she triumph and embark on college life as a Cinderella?
They went for a hand-to-hand test of strength. Tabata applied a headlock, Hina applied a headslash, and Tabata did a handstand to escape and lured Tabata into ropework. Hina attempted an arm whip, but Tabata retaliated. Hina pulled the ropes and sent Tabata to the apron, but Tabata returned. Hina swatted her hips, followed by a thrust knee attack and a dropkick. Tabata retaliated, and Hina applied a reverse crab hold. Hina charged with a series of stomps. Tabata dodged and delivered a double knee attack from behind. They traded elbows, then Tabata applied an arm whip from the corner and a tope to Hina, who was out of the ring. Another missile kick also counted two. Hina lifts Tabata up from a neckbreaker and slams her back, but Tabata's shoulders rise. Hina goes for a fisherman's, but Tabata holds her off and hits a stunner and a dropkick. Hina returns, and Tabata charges in. Hina blocks it and hits a STO, slams her back, and the hold also counts two. Hina warns of her finish and goes for a jackhammer. Tabata counters and pushes her down, then hits a jab and covers. The three count gives Tabata the victory. After the match, Hina shows off the Future belt to Tabata and leaves the ring.

"I'm very happy to have won the first round of the tournament. This is my first time entering this tournament, of course, and I'm happy to have won the match. Hina's belt? Of course I'm interested. It's a singles title, so I'm even more interested. I want to become the singles champion. Of course in Japan. If I win, I'm happy to compete in Mexico."

"Ah, I lost the first round of the Cinderella Tournament again... Ah, I was absent last year and couldn't participate, but the year before last I lost to Gina when she came out at X. Ah, and Tabata again today? Some Mexican I don't know much about has come, and it's turned the first round of the Cinderella Tournament into an unveiling show for a foreigner visiting Japan. My Cinderella Tournament. It's so frustrating. Ah, so much. I think Tabata debuted at age 20 and it's been a year and a half, so he is eligible to challenge for the future belt, so if he feels like it, please come and challenge for this belt."
