On September 10th at Korakuen Hall, Koguma challenged Dark Silueta for the CMLL Japan Women's Championship. The match ended with Koguma winning due to Silueta dislocating her right shoulder, and the belt changed hands. After the match, Koguma's tag team partner, Hazuki, declared her challenge, setting up a showdown between FWC partners. Since then, FWC has engaged in preliminary matches, teamed up as usual, and participated in other promotions, but now they will have their first singles match for the belt in a long time. The two have faced each other since their rookie days, but Koguma leads in singles matches. The winner is likely to travel to Mexico as champion. The two shook hands to begin the match. After feeling each other out, they fought for back control, and Koguma took the match to the ground. Hazuki dodged and extended her hand. Hazuki reversed and delivered a missile kick and a brainbuster. Koguma kicked out, and Hazuki locked in a face lock. Hazuki also locked in her legs to prevent her from escaping. However, Koguma manages to reach the ropes. Hazuki declares and delivers a face wash. She then performs a tope suicida to the outside, climbs to the corner and delivers a missile kick to the outside. When she brings Koguma back into the ring, Hazuki delivers a swan dive missile kick. Koguma kicks out and Hazuki goes for a face lock. Koguma counters and applies a camel clutch. From that position, she swung Hazuki and then applied a body lock on the ground. 15 minutes had passed. Hazuki managed to escape somehow. Koguma climbed to the corner and did a diving body press, but Hazuki lifted her shoulder. Hazuki did a Hazukistral but it was only a two count. Koguma did three consecutive German suplexes. Hazuki kicked out and Koguma went to the corner. Hazuki also climbed up and went for a superplex. Koguma knocked her down with a headbutt and then did a Yoshitanic to Hazuki as she crawled back up. Hazuki kicked out and Koguma charged. Hazuki dodged and spun around for a Hazukistral. Koguma kicked out at the last moment and Hazuki did a brainbuster. Koguma quickly retaliated, and Hazuki slammed her forward and delivered a diving senton. However, Koguma grabbed the ropes. 20 minutes had passed. Hazuki delivered a vertical drop brainbuster. Koguma countered, and Hazuki, in a throat-slitting pose, lifted her up and slammed her to the side. Koguma reversed the cover, and when it was reversed, she went for a 120% schoolboy. Hazuki countered with a double kick. She pulled Koguma up and delivered a vertical drop brainbuster. The referee counted to three, and Hazuki defeated Koguma
Hazuki: "Hazuki is a two-time champion for the first time in her pro-wrestling career! Thank you, Koguma, for fighting me for this CMLL (Japan Women's) belt. If Koguma and I weren't contemporaries, if Koguma hadn't fought in the same ring as me, I wouldn't have become this strong. I think I am where I am today because of Koguma. Thank you so much."
Koguma: "Hazuki, congratulations. You know, we don't have many singles matches, and normally we're a tag team, and everyone thinks we're a strong and close tag team in FWC... No, no, it's not that we don't get along, we usually work together as a tag team, but deep down, we were first classmates and rivals (tears)."
Hazuki: "Don't cry."
Koguma: "We were rivals in the same generation, right? ...But I became a two-time champion more than 10 years ago. We've always been rivals. We're rivals, and we're a great tag team, so just because we lost today doesn't mean one of us is better or worse. We'll continue to compete against each other and become the strongest tag team. "CMLL (Japan Women's) before Mexico. I really wanted to take the belt to Mexico and have a rematch with Silueta. Well, as I said in the ring, I think we have a strong image as a tag team team as FWC. But at first we were 15 years old, from Fukuoka, and each other were my biggest rivals. I didn't really pay her much attention at the time, but she was a huge rival. When we faced each other, that rivalry really came out. It was really fun. But I was the first to become a double champion. We'll always be rivals, and I'll always try to beat her."
