After defending her red belt in a title match against 5★STAR GP champion Momo Watanabe, Saya Kamitani appeared before Saori Anou. Kamitani complained to Anou that she was "too late in challenging me," but through the preliminary matches, she managed to draw out her emotions. Kamitani was awarded this year's MVP, recognizing her as the year's most accomplished professional wrestler, transcending gender barriers. Anou felt jealous of Kamitani. Will she be able to bring a new vibe to Stardom as the culmination of their 10th anniversary? Or will Kamitani hold onto the World Championship and move on to the IWGP Women's & STRONG Women's Double Crown match at New Japan Championship January 4 at the Tokyo Dome? This is the culmination of 2025 and a big match that will also determine 2026.
Anou tried to push her away and went to the ropes. Anou climbed to the corner, and Kamitani approached. Anou climbed down from the corner and they explored each other. When Anno throws her into the ropes, Kamitani escapes. When Anno chases after her, Kamitani returns to the ring and does the Nakano Tamu pose. Kamitani sits on a chair and waits for Anno. When Anno returns, she slams her into the chair and delivers a dropkick. Kamitani stomps on her repeatedly, kicks her left shoulder, and stomps on her again. From a Scorpion Hold position, she applies a modified Achilles Hold. She then pulls both of her arms and tightens the hold on the ground. When she is pinned to the ropes, Kamitani performs a heel drop. She drops her under the ring and throws her into the audience, then strangles her with a chain. They exchange elbows in the audience, then wrap a chain around her neck and drag her away, throwing her down the stairs. Kamitani returns to the apron, but Anno hits a German suplex. Anno brings out a chain and suspends her in the air, then hits a plancha to the outside. Kamitani survives at the 19 count. Anno hits a missile kick, a fisherman's suplex, and a Gokuraku Hold. Kamitani escapes, and 10 minutes have passed. Kamitani hits a series of elbows, Anno a fisherman, Kamitani a foot stomp, a knee kick, a swan dive plancha to the outside of the ring, and then slams her to the mat outside the ring. She brings Anno back in and hits a suplex followed by a Kamigoe. Anno dodges and hits an overhead kick and three German suplexes. Kamitani returns and hits an avalanche Frankensteiner on Anno in the corner. Anno climbs to the corner and retaliates with an avalanche Frankensteiner. A big boot and a double kick clash leaves both women down. They grab each other's hands and Kamitani hits a slap. Anno retaliates and they exchange slaps. 15 minutes pass. Anno clasps her hands behind her back and takes the series of slaps, then stands up. Anno hits a slap, Kamitani hits a Star Crusher. Kamitani declares she's finished and goes for another spinning suplex. Anno counters with a dragon, a spinning kick, a tongue-and-drum, and a Japanese ocean suplex. Kamitani returns and Anno takes her back with a modified suplex. After a heel drop, Anno takes her back. Kamitani hits a Frankensteiner, a spin kick, and a whirlwind kick. Both women are down. As Anno crawls up, Kamitani grabs her hands and kicks her in the face. As Anno stands up, Kamitani rolls her up, then hits a suplex and a buzzsaw kick. 20 minutes have passed. Kamitani grabs both of her hands, but Anno knees her and applies a suplex hold. As Kamitani counters, Anno hits a double kick and a big boot. Kamitani retaliates with a double kick. As Anno counters, Kamitani goes for a Star Crusher. However, Anno raises her shoulders. As she stands up, she goes for another one. Anno counters and goes for a Potering. She tries to go for a Special Potering, but it doesn't work. Kamitani counters and hits a Kamigoe, then a spinning Star Crusher. The three count is reached and Kamitani has defeated Anno.
Kamitani: "This is reality. Isn't it cruel? You've ruined Saya-sama's pretty face, you bastard!"
Kamitani throws the microphone.
Anna: "It's the same as always. You're the one who made me make this face, make me expose myself like this... But if I don't show this much, I can't face Kamitani Saya. Remember, I won't give up."
Anna leaves the ring and is supported out by Natsupoi. Afterwards, Starlight Kid appears.
Kid: "Kamitani's double awards and her success are something that's in my sights whether I like it or not? I just can't stay sitting still any longer~"
Kamitani: "Read the room, you're in the way!!"
Kid: "Now now now, Kamitani has shown me more than enough frustration up until now, so I'm going to end the Kamitani era.
" Kamitani: "Hey, you cute kitten. You're always squealing, 'Saya-chan, Saya-chan,' seriously, but I don't dislike you. Okay, let's do it. If it entertains Saya-sama, I'll do it anytime, anywhere. Kitten-chan"
Kamitani headbutts Kid.
Kid: "Anytime, anywhere? Well then... let's do it in the first big match of 2026. I haven't forgotten the tears of regret I shed in my match against Wonder about three years ago.
" Kamitani: "Go home now, servants! Looking back on the past year, many things have happened, but I have once again realized something. The place where I live is the Stardom ring! Next year, I will take you to a sight you have never seen before, so don't take your eyes off Saya-sama just yet. Servants, kneel down! Say goodbye forever to 2025!"
Kamitani's comment
: "It's Saori! You beat up Saya-sama's cute face, you bastard! I lost track of my memory a bit and don't remember anything, but I have the red belt in my hands right now. So many things have happened this past year, I felt like I was going crazy every day, and there were so many times when I wanted to run away...but I didn't run away, and I continued to face pro wrestling every single day. I think that's why I was able to get something that no one else can have, and I will continue to live for pro wrestling! And I will continue to shine black in the Stardom ring! Next year, I'll take you to places you've never seen before, so everyone, follow Saya-sama! That's all!"
Anna's comment
: "As I continued this fight, before I knew it, I began to want the World belt more and more. I felt it with my own body when I fought Kamitani, and learned a lot about her through our conversations. She has what Kamitani carries, the charm that draws people in, and so many things that I don't have! I can't be her. I can't do things like she does. But I want to deliver pro wrestling in my own way. I may be... unfriendly. I don't do much fan service, I don't smile, I don't wave. But I love pro wrestling. I will continue to fight, and I will continue to stand in the ring. So please continue to watch me. I won't give up."
Kid's comment
: "I'm Starlight Kid, the next to challenge for World of Stardom. I was thinking about taking it slow in 2026, but after seeing Kamitani's success, I felt I had to go for it. Honestly, I think Kamitani was amazing in 2025. She achieved her first title, appeared on TV, and was on the cover of Weekly Pro Wrestling. She achieved everything I wanted to achieve. Kamitani has caused me so much frustration. When I was Wonder Champion, this year marks the 10th anniversary of my debut, and I worked hard as White Tiger, but I couldn't surpass either Kamitani or Red. That was really frustrating. But it's not just that. I've always been conscious of Kamitani, so I think I've lost countless times. I lost to Shooting Star shortly after Kamitani's debut, and I was the first opponent to use Star Crusher. 5★STAR There's the GP and others too. I lost at Wonder, at the Tokyo Dome, and even in the quarterfinals of last year's 5★STAR. Kamitani has been getting in my way so much. It's been bubbling up inside me, and it's like it's about to explode, so I took action. But while I was satisfied with the Wonder match and other parts, I still felt like something was missing. Is it Kamitani's presence? It made me realize once again that I've been getting in my way all this time. So, having been so hindered so much, I think I'm the right person to take everything away from Kamitani. This is my first time challenging Red, so it's also a challenge for myself. I want to take everything away from Kamitani."
