After defeating 5★STAR GP champion Momo Watanabe in a title match and successfully defending her red belt, Saya Kamitani was challenged by Saori Anno. Kamitani complained to Anno that she was "too late in challenging her," but through their preliminary matches, she had managed to draw out Anno's emotions. Kamitani went on to win this year's MVP award, recognizing her as the most outstanding professional wrestler of the year, transcending gender boundaries. Anno felt jealous of Kamitani. Can she bring a new landscape to Stardom as the culmination of her 10th anniversary? Or will Kamitani hold onto the World Championship into the new year and advance as the red champion to the IWGP Women's & STRONG Women's Double Championship match at New Japan's 1.4 Tokyo Dome? This is the culmination of 2025 and a major match that will also foreshadow 2026.
Anno tries to push Kamitani, using the ropes. Anno climbs onto the corner, and Kamitani approaches. Anno climbs down from the corner, and they begin to feel each other out. When Anno throws Kamiya into the ropes, Kamiya escapes. Anno chases after her, but Kamiya returns to the ring and does the Nakano Tam pose. Kamiya sits on a chair and waits for Anno. When Anno returns, she slams Kamiya into the chair and delivers a dropkick. Kamiya delivers a series of stomps, kicks Anno in the left shoulder, and more stomps. She applies a modified Achilles lock from a scorpion deathlock position. She then pulls both of Kamiya's arms on the ground and tightens the hold. She locks Kamiya in the ropes and delivers a heel drop. She throws Kamiya out of the ring and into the audience, then chokes her with a chain. They exchange elbows in the audience, and Anno drags Kamiya with the chain around her neck and throws her down the stairs. Kamiya returns to the apron, but Anno delivers a German suplex. Anno brings out a chain and hangs Kamiya in mid-air, then performs a plancha to the outside. Kamiya returns to the ring at the 19 count. Anno delivers a missile kick, a fisherman suplex, and a Gokuraku hold. Kamiya escapes, and 10 minutes have passed. Kamitani delivers a series of elbows, Anno responds with a fisherman suplex, Kamitani lands a foot stomp, a knee kick, a swan dive plancha to the outside, and then slams Anno onto the outside mat. Anno returns to the ring and delivers a suplex followed by a Kamigoye. Anno dodges and lands an overhead kick, then three consecutive German suplexes. Kamitani counters and hits Anno, who is in the corner, with a superplex Frankensteiner. Anno climbs onto the corner and returns the favor with a superplex Frankensteiner of her own. Big boots and double kicks clash, leaving both men down. They grapple for each other's heads, and Kamitani slaps Anno. Anno retaliates, and they exchange slaps. 15 minutes have passed. Anno stands up, receiving a series of slaps with her hands clasped behind her back. Anno slaps Kamitani, and Kamitani delivers a star crusher. Kamitani declares she's going for the finish and goes for another spinning Kamigoye. Anno counters with a dragon suplex, a spinning kick followed by a tantandol, and a Japanese ocean suplex. Kamitani counters, and Anno takes her back with a modified version. After a heel drop, Anno takes Anno's back. Kamitani lands a Frankensteiner, a spin kick, and a whirlwind kick. Both are down. As Anno gets up, Kamitani grabs her hand and kicks her in the face. As Anno gets up, Kamitani rolls her up and hits a suplex and a buzzsaw kick. 20 minutes have passed. Kamitani grabs both of Anno's arms, but Anno hits a knee strike followed by a suplex hold. Kamitani kicks out and Anno lands a double kick and a big boot. Kamitani retaliates with a double kick. Anno kicks out and Kamitani hits a star crusher. However, Anno lifts her shoulder. Kamitani pulls her up and tries for another one. Anno counters and hits a pottering. She tries to go for a special pottering but can't. Kamitani counters and hits a Kamigoye followed by a spinning star crusher. The referee counts to three, and Kamitani defeats Anno.
Kamiya: "This is reality. Isn't it cruel? You bastard, you've ruined Saya-sama's pretty face!"
Kamiya throws the microphone.
Anno: "Nothing's changed. You're the one who made me look like this, exposed... But I guess I couldn't face Saya Kamiya unless I showed this much. Remember this, I'm not giving up."
Anno leaves the ring and is supported out by Natsupoi. After that, Starlight Kid appears.
Kid: "Kamiya's double award wins and other achievements that are impossible to ignore? I just can't stand it anymore~"
Kamiya: "Read the room, you're getting in the way!!"
Kid: "Now, now, now, Kamiya has shown me enough frustration to make me sick. So I'm going to put an end to Kamiya's era.
" Kamiya: "Hey, hey, my cute little kitten. You're always squeaking and making a racket saying 'Saya-chan, Saya-chan,' really. But I don't dislike you. Fine, let's do it. If it will entertain Lady Saya, I'll do it anytime, anywhere. Kitty." Kamiya
headbutts Kid.
Kid: "Anytime, anywhere? Well then... do it at the very first big match of 2026. I haven't forgotten the tears of frustration you shed in the Wonder match about three years ago."
Kamitani: "Get out of here, my servants! Looking back on this past year, a lot has happened, but I've come to realize something again. The place where I belong is the Stardom ring! Next year, I'll take you to sights you've never seen before, so don't take your eyes off Saya-sama just yet. Servants, kneel! Farewell forever, 2025!"
Kamiya's comment
: "Saori! You beat up Saya-sama's cute face, it pisses me off, you bastard! I kind of blacked out in the middle and don't really remember what happened, but now I have the red belt in my hands. So many things have happened this past year, I felt like I was going crazy every day, and there were so many times I wanted to run away... But I didn't run away from myself, and I continued to face pro wrestling every single day. That's why I think I was able to get something that no one else can have, and I will continue to live for pro wrestling! And I will continue to shine brightly in black in the Stardom ring! Next year I will take you to places you have never seen before, so everyone, follow Saya-sama, that's all!"
Anno's comment
: "As I continued this fight, I gradually started to want the World Championship belt more and more. I felt it with my body when I fought Kamiya, and I learned a lot about her through our conversations. She has a lot of things that I don't have, like the burdens she carries and the charm that attracts people! I can't be like her. I can't do things the way she does. But I want to deliver pro wrestling in my own way. I may be...unfriendly. I don't do fan service, I don't smile, I don't wave. But I love pro wrestling. I will continue to fight and I will continue to stand in the ring. So please keep watching me. I will not give up."
Kid's comment
: "I'm Starlight Kid, and I'll be challenging for the World of Stardom title next. I was thinking of taking things slowly in 2026, but after seeing how well Kamitani has been doing, I felt like I had to go for it. To be honest, I think Kamitani was amazing in 2025. She achieved a historic first, appeared on TV, and graced the cover of Weekly Pro Wrestling. She took everything I wanted to do. Kamitani has given me an incredible amount of frustration. Even when I was the Wonder Champion, and this year marks my 10th anniversary since my debut, and I've worked hard as White Tiger, I couldn't surpass Kamitani or Red. That was really frustrating. And that's not all. I've always been conscious of Kamitani, so I think there are countless losses. I lost to her with a Shooting Star right after her debut, and I was the first person she used the Star Crusher on. 5★STAR There's the GP, and I think there are others too. Wonder, Tokyo Dome, and even the quarterfinals of last year's 5★STAR, I lost to her. Kamiya has always gotten in my way. It's like it's boiling up inside me, and I feel like I'm about to explode, so I've decided to take action. I was satisfied with some parts of my matches at Wonder, but there was still this feeling that something wasn't fulfilling. Is it Kamiya's presence? I realized again that I've always been getting in her way. So I think I'm a worthy opponent to take everything from Kamiya now, since I've been getting in her way so much. This is my first time challenging for the Red title, so it's also a challenge to myself. I want to take everything from Kamiya."
