Finally! Sayaka Kurei has earned the right to challenge for the World of Stardom Championship. At the Yokohama Budokan event on the 15th, she will face the current champion, Saya Kamitani, in a tag team match (Kurei & Natsupoi vs. Kamitani & Konami). Kurei had declared her intention to challenge for the title at the Osaka event on February 7th, but was flatly rejected. Undeterred, she visited Kamitani's autobiography signing event three times to directly plead for a challenge, but was defeated each time. Finally worn down by her persistence, Kamitani gave her a "homework assignment" at the Korakuen Hall event on the 11th, asking, "If Saya-sama puts the red belt on the line, what will you put on the line?"
In the opening match, Kurei faced the Red Champion and desperately tried to hold on with elbows, but the match was taken outside the ring, putting her at a disadvantage. This was Saya-sama's return match, as she had been absent since the February 7th Osaka show due to surgery for an injury, but she showed no signs of being out of practice
In their second encounter, she caught Kamiya in a body-scissors sleeper hold. However, her impaling Tokimeki Spear was dodged, and she was subjected to a fierce attack from the opposing team. Nevertheless, with Natsupoi's help, she landed a Tokimeki Spear at the crucial moment. In the end, she secured a direct 3-count victory over Kamiya with her mentor Tam Nakano's signature move, the Violet Screwdriver
Holding the microphone, Kurei declared, "This is my resolve! If Saya Kamiya is putting up the red belt, I'll put up COSMIC ANGELS!" She decided to put up her own unit, founded by her mentor Tamura Nakano, on the line
Then Kamiya asks, "Okay, I'll do it. But where? Where do you want to do it?"
Kyurei had no doubts. "The place where you took everything from me. At Yokohama Arena, I will take everything from you!" At the Yokohama Arena event on April 27th last year, Nakano lost to Kamiya in a "loser retires match" and retired from active competition. That was the only place where she could erase that nightmare
Kamiya grinned and said, "Don't regret the words you say. I'll show you the continuation of that nightmare. I'll destroy COSMIC ANGELS and put an end to it all.
