Future of Stardom Champion Ranna Yagami showed the determination of a champion. She faced Kian Furusawa in her fourth title defense match at the Toyota Gosei Memorial Gymnasium in Aichi on Sunday, May 23rd
The match, a mix of striking and submission holds, was a nail-biting affair from start to finish. Yagami struggled with an ankle lock, as her left leg was targeted. However, just over 10 minutes into the match, she landed the Tae ROCK, a move taught to her by Tae Honma, and quickly decided the match
The champion, holding the microphone, declared, "Yagami still has many ambitions to fulfill with this Future belt. And I will unify the world of women's professional wrestling, so please look forward to it!" The venue erupted in cheers
[Furusawa's story] Up until now, I haven't been able to be number one at anything. Today I wanted to win the Future title and become number one among my peers. I was planning to break my legs, but instead my arms got broken. But I haven't given up yet, so I'll go and take the Future title that Ranna has as soon as possible
